White Simple Camera Photo Collage.jpg

Nestled amidst the scenic beauty of Cox's Bazar - Bangladesh, the newly inaugurated on November 2023 this Railway Station stands as a testament to architectural brilliance and modernity. Inspired by the graceful form of an oyster, the station's exterior exudes elegance and uniqueness, symbolizing the coastal charm of the region.

Let me show you around.

Architect Mohammad Foyez Ullah's visionary design has transformed the station into an iconic landmark, drawing admiration from travelers and locals alike.

As I arrived at the station for the first time, I was captivated by its striking appearance. The sleek lines and contemporary design elements create an inviting ambiance, setting it apart from conventional railway stations. Despite ongoing construction projects, the station's allure is unmistakable, hinting at the grandeur it will embody upon completion.

Although I couldn't capture the station's front facade due to time constraints, the side view revealed the intricacies of the oyster-inspired sculpture, adding a touch of artistic flair to the surroundings. With each passing train, the station pulsates with energy, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Cox's Bazar.

I didn't have enough time to look around the station only at the ground floor. See this Wiki Page for more information about the place.

The station terminal has five floors with the top floor reserved for future use—the ground floor houses various government services, ticket counters, various shops, and other services.

The first floor is the departure lounge. There are lifts, stairs, washrooms, baby care services, accelerators, waiting lounges, lockers, tourist information desks, display centers for selling products, and prayer rooms. A footbridge for departure will also be attached to this floor.

The second floor is mainly reserved for restaurants and shops. The third floor will be a hotel with recreational space for passengers. The hotel will have 39 rooms.

The fourth floor is intended to be leased for offices and conferences.

The train journey back home was a delightful experience, offering scenic views of Cox's Bazar's enchanting landscapes. From the window, I marveled at the coastal vistas, rolling hills, and serene riverbanks, each scene unfolding like a picturesque canvas. It was a tranquil journey filled with moments of awe and appreciation for nature's beauty.

As we embarked on my journey back home, the memories of Cox's Bazar Railway Station lingered in my mind. Its architectural splendor and modern amenities serve as a fitting tribute to the region's rich heritage and natural beauty.

Whether arriving or departing, the station leaves a lasting impression on all who pass through its gates.

It's very nice to visit the railway station and see such beautiful things. Your railway station is just like our city station.

I like how open and bright your station is. I am so used to those underground, or a bit high up.

It's because it's newly opened on last November. Time and the ability of the maintenance team will say how good it would be in years. But it's a modern architecture for sure.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
