Festival de la Pascua Rusa en Moscú//Russian Easter Festival in Moscow
Hola amigos, en esta ocasión les comparto instantáneas de mi visita a uno de los festivales celebrados en la Plaza Roja con motivos de la pascua ortodoxa. Y es que, en Rusia durante este período se llevan a cabo tradiciones de antaño como: Pintar huevos, bañarse en agua helada y comer dulcecitos conocidos como Kulich y Pasja. Comúnmente, la celebración de la pascua ortodoxa no coincide con la católica debido a que los ortodoxos se rigen por el calendario juliano y por ello puede haber desde una semana a un mes de diferencia. Durante la época socialista no existían estas celebraciones, pero con la caída de la URSS se retomaron nuevamente y abiertamente en toda Rusia. Espero que este post les sea de su agrado. Hello friends, this time I share with you snapshots of my visit to one of the festivals held in the Red Square on the occasion of Orthodox Easter. In Russia during this period, traditions of yesteryear are carried out such as: painting eggs, bathing in ice water and eating sweets known as Kulich and Pasja. Commonly, the Orthodox Easter celebration does not coincide with the Catholic celebration because the Orthodox follow the Julian calendar and therefore there can be from one week to one-month difference. During the socialist era these celebrations did not exist, but with the fall of the USSR they were resumed again and openly throughout Russia. I hope you enjoy this post. Best regards.

The main element of the Russian Easter table. This element is taken because, according to legend, Emperor Tiberius gave an egg to Mary Magdalene to signify the resurrection of Christ. They are usually written with the letters XB, which in Russian corresponds to the initials of the expression Christ Resuscitated.
