Not sure what was your point here. I own some thousands of $$ worth on splinterlands assets but probably spent a few hundreds back in the day. Also, not sure what to think about that "mental health" thing you said?
Nowadays I'm just a happy Gold League player and enjoy the game.

Did you get into the early rounds? You do have some Legendary Summoners, but mostly low level.
NFT #hodl-ing is not the most social activity, at least in my personal circles. Not sure what your rl contacts are doing in their spare time.
My rl contacts are players too, when we go for coffee we don't talk about "hodling" but about the last match in which we got smoked 😂
