(Edited)

This book consists of so many stories, it is a revised edition which was edited by I. Chima Igbokwe, Chibueze Prince Orie and Ebere Chukwu, when I saw it, I was touched by the name and decided to choose the first story, which is Free Mandela. This story tells about a bank manager who is so smart to noticed that some people who also work at the bank are the reasons behind all the unnecessary withdrawals at the bank and the reasons why customers come to complain about incomplete account balance.

So on this day, Mandela was the last person to leave the bank, he had developed a very difficult code that no one can crack except him. He dreamed that people were coming into the bank and harassing the customers and workers, so he had to plan ahead and put things in order in the bank, since no one was trustworthy at that very moment, that night after he was done with his plans, he leaves but some unknown men pick him up on his way back home.

They beat him and asked him for the bank key, he gave it to them but when one of the kidnappers went to the bank, she couldn't find the exit, the door became locked, her name was Nene, and the thing here was that, she was a worker at the bank, Nene was working with C.C kankwu who was also a worker there.

But things did not go as planned for them. When Mandela hears Nene calling C.C kankwu, she couldn't find the way out of the bank, which caused a security officer to come to check the room, Mandela laughed because their plans had failed and he was winning, however he felt sorry for his life, because he was thinking that he was not going to make it alive, not even now that the people who captured him could not achieve their plan in taking money out of the bank, he began to pray to GOD to take his soul.

Mandela at that moment began to think about Dera's, her true love, he missed her a lot but he felt how she would live in this world without him, what her life would be like, tears begin to flow from his eyes.

C.C Kankwu who were keeping a watch at him in the kidnapping room, was just about to pull the trigger so they wouldn't be traced as the cause of Mandela's kidnapping, but before she knew it, the policemen arrived at the scene and knocked her down, Mandela opened his eyes and saw himself alive, and he was happy, the bank security officer handed Nene over to the police, so they convinced her to tell the truth, that was how they discovered their hiding place and Mandela was taken out alive.

This story has a lot to teach in the sense of managers being proactive in their roles, to keep everything in balance in the workplace, because if mandala had not been ahead of Nene and C.C kankwu, those two would have succeeded in their devilish act.

And, One must always pray in times of trial and also pray when going to work, to break down all the invisible barriers in his way and in his operations.

Lastly, always be cautious with your steps and know how to defend yourself.

Thank you very much for reading my review of Free Mandela, a revised edition by I. chima Igbokwe, Chibueze Prince Orie and Ebere Chukwu, have a beautiful day ahead.

Wow! you narrated in the way I understood the novel and came out with a great lesson. As managers of a company, it is their responsibility to see that the company is in good shape and must be proactive ahead of danger lurking around.

Thank God Mandela also took immediate action after his dream because not many people will do this. They will say dreams are not real. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Wow!!@princessbusayo☺️ those words are so amazing and you know what, I was smiling through out, reading your response, 🥰.
Mandela is a kind of manager companies and firm's should look out for, he knows his roles and it was for him that all the bad acts in the Bank was put to an end, I treasure his style, you know, he puts his life as stake just to make sure, things go as plan.
Thank you so much for your kind words and do have a lovely day Ahead 💥☺️

Wow, Mandela doing his job properly helped protect the bank values. The lessons aren't just for managers for everyone to always take their job seriously and think of possible harm before they arrive.

The biographic novels always fill the holes that politics tents to do out of the people, I feel that this one is a great work that bridges my perception of Mandela with the actual men and its reality, loved it :)
