Four Days Off!

I've taken the rather radical decision this Easter to have four days off.

Well almost! I did have to nip out to do two hours of work around midday Friday but honestly 2 hrs is fine, I'll call it 4 days off!

Not that it's been an especially long time since my last few days off, that was early Feb and then before that I think I managed to stack 9 days off work over Xmas and New Year...

The difference with this is these four days are just on my own, around the house and the local area....

Time just seems to get filled....

It's amazing when you give yrself some time what arises to fill it - NB I'm not self imposing meditation in these four days - so doing isn't an excuse for not doing...

Although I've found I don't really feel like doing anything very much, lots.of lounging is in order!

And some chores and the rest...

I've actually found there are a lot of chores that just need doing - odds and sods that I've put off, the dross chores that seem too brutal to do after a day at work!

So Friday was work and chores day - tidying and a few admin things. I also binged 'Three Body Problem' too - it was quite good, different!

Saturday I had drumming circle, which was terrific as usual and then I just lounged around all evening, perfect!

Today...

Now Sunday - did my run had my coffee now I'm lounging before my shower and thinking there are a few chores I should do.....

I'm gonna cook myself a beef chilli tonight - boost my iron levels!

And then tomo.... maybe chores tomo I dunno, maybe a walk - I want to reckie a running route - basically check if the roads are safe for a circular I've plotted on a map.

Giving oneself time and slowing down...

I think these are the most crucial things I need for these four days...

Looking at my calendar for April - it's a busy busy one, so stocking up on chill time now = vital!

Good on you, recharging is so important and I don’t think we do it enough these days. Love the drum, tell me more about the drumming circle, there is something near us like that. I’ve been contemplating it.

Enjoy your time off!

I need to have a look at 3 Body Problem as I've read the book. Have fun with the djembe. I did drum circle for a few years, but not played it much lately.

The four days off will give you time to get yourself together and also attend to your personal life. Also, I’m glad you were able to find out that there are some chores to be done. This is needed and it must not be in festive period alone. It can be anytime so we’d be able to recharge ourselves

And next week I will have 5.5 days off together with the weekend. Such holidays are good for getting break and relaxed.
