What I think I've gleaned about Holozing Gameplay...

ATW the market cap of ZING is sitting at almost $160K USD with a circulating supply of 30M.

Not bad for a still yet to be released project on a Chain which seems to be in decline. (Of course a new game may well help to reverse that decline, it certainly won't accelerate it!).

I've managed to stack around 270K Zing between stake and the Hive-ZING LP and sold enough to cover a fairly large purchase of starter packs and healers when the packs are released in a month or so.

It's time to start thinking about what the game looks like...

Basic Gameplay...

According the Lite Paper this is a way off: we need to get through Alpha balancing testing first but it looks like...

  • Buy a healer NFT and a starter pack, the later will give you necessary items and creature which, along with the healer will allow you to play.
  • By open Beta you'll be able to capture creatures, obtain items and soulbound rewards, all NFTs.
  • In main game play there is Monsters in the Wild (PvE), Arena Battles (PvP), and Professions (skills in crafting) - in pre-Beta there will just be the first two I think.

Monsters in the wild...

This is the core of the game for early dayz players. It is where you encounter, capture and level monsters.

You encounter monsters randomly (you can concentrate the times of day you get encounters). To battle you need a healer and another monster and some other equipment (I think).

Monsters have recognisable stats such as strength, agility and HP.

To capture a monster you need to reduce its HP to not quite 0, and then aim a special camera at it to capture it (basically printing an NFT, cute). It's then available for training.

Your Healer is basically YOU and you have Mana, which reduces every 'round' of combat, assuming the game will be in round format. Healers heal but can also buff.

There are various outcomes to the battles, including winning, losing, running away all of which affect your XP.

Monsters will vary wildly in terms of their ability stats, even within the different levels (common, rare, etc) and it will take some knowledge to determine how to beat monsters.

The harder a monster is to defeat, the more XP you gain on victory, and presumably, you end up with a tougher monster in yer arsenal too.

Arena battles

You battle other players for ZING rewards, you win when your opponent's monster is reduced to HP 0.

Professions

A final thin on details aspect of the game is developing crafting skills and items relevant to buffing various stats.

I think this is probably a future evolution and won't be available for many months down the line.

Starter Healers, Packs and Creatures...

I think initially it comes down to buying healer NFT (or more) and then starter packs, not sure whether the creatures/ monsters will be in the packs, or separate.

Healers...

These gals and guys...

Three types... Forest, Ocean and Light who synergise with the creatures below...

Healers need (?) equipping with various different rarities of backpacks, presumably one thing the back pack contains will be the capture-camera!

Four starter creatures...

That would be these guys... presumably with four different abilities/ specialties... Fire, grass, water, electric...

And presumably many, many more to come...

Focussing on just one healer and one or a few creatures...?

I'm getting the feeling this could well be the name of the game... focus on ONE healer initially and level them up, and maybe one primary creature and a few secondaries...

Of course I may be wrong! And it all depends on what one wants to do...

It might well be worth Vesting hard in several starter packs if they contain super rare Alpha creatures which aren't going to be obtainable anywhere else down the road.

Like if there's only a few thousand packs containing one or more the above minted and then Beta packs contain different creatures, it could well be worth going HARD on these early on!

And of course there is a Zing drop to the above.

And of course all of this is just my own hypothetical musings

Probably best to pay no attention to me, I'm just trying to get my head around Holozing ahead of the game, chances are everything will be somewhat different to how I imagine it's going to be!

But I think I've got some of it write and it certainly sounds interesting!

A lot of work is being done on this project and we are seeing that people have a lot of faith, so I would also like to say here that if their prices of NFTs are low, there will be a lot of benefit and People will love to play this game.

With this and the likes of SL and @arcadecolony, it's worth keeping an eye on Hive's upcoming games i reckon

I'm keen on Zing, not so sure about anything else, I think I've got enough high risk Vests already, I'll probably just stick to more BTC for now!

It looks like a very detailed game that we will enjoy more and more as we play and explore. I can't wait to learn more about the game over time.

I can’t wait for this game to be launched. I’m glad that I'm earning in $Zing already
Thank you for sharing your idea
