Wow, that budget took LAME to another level....
I don't think anyone was expecting much out of this November's budget, and what we got was kind of what we expected, which was precisely the problem: what the UK needs is something different!

Let's have a look at some of the details...
Tax threshold freeze for longer
The main non-move is to carry on with stealth taxes - freezing the tx thresholds until 2031, which means ordinary people just end up paying more and more and more tax over time.
This is planned to raise $26 bn by 2029.
Scraping the 2 child benefit cap...
I'm all for lifting children out of poverty, but at the same time this does sound like rewarding people for having too many children, I'm not a massive fan TBH.
Rental property taxes to increase by 2% in 2027
Well that's just great seeing as I'm going to be renting my house out in a few months.
But then again, not a life changing amount of money either!
A re-evaluation of properties in bands F, G and H
It says only houses worth more than £2M will be charged more council tax, but this is WORRYING as this is MOST properties.
This kind of sets an unsettling precedent for massive council tax hikes further down the line....
Charges per mile for electric vehicles...?
This I really don't get! You encourage people to go electric and then penalise them for driving relative to petrol cars? No sense!
Anything for growth....?
Actually you know I just don't see it... man this just reinforces the whole sinking ship narrative, big time!
A budget not for the workers but for the shirkers.
The only good bit was taxing the virtue signallers who drive clockwork cars. Brilliant, I hope it boils their piss.
I imagine it will! I find it funny that my 2015 diesel is £20 a year tax!
Now that is the real deal!
