Furious Chickens Can Be Really Useful

The furious chicken is a really useful card when you have a free slot. At 0 mana, it allows you to absorb at least one attack from your opponent or even multiple if you can give it a shield and your opponent uses melee/range attacks.

Here in this battle, my opponent and I had all the same cards except for one difference - I had a furious chicken up in front.

So the furious chicken absorbed the damage from his Djinn Oshannus' first attack which meant that it was able to survive for an additional round. It works particularly well against opponents whose first attack is a big one.

One way to counter furious chickens is to have a quick light attack first before your big attack. Something like the spark pixies comes to mind. Looking at the rental market, they are going for around 12 DEC per day which you can easily make in one or two battles.
