A British woman wanted to invest in crypto, but unfortunately lost her life savings of around $200,000. It is totally unexpected when you lose your life savings. If you invest some money in crypto and lose that, you can accept it. But losing your life savings is something that is difficult to handle. You do not intend to invest everything in crypto, but trusting someone and giving access to your device can be a big mistake to lose everything.

Seeing online ads, that woman was interested in investing her money into cryptocurrency. She wanted to know more about what to do to get into crypto. Then a person reached out to her. That person made a close relationship with the woman and gained her trust first.

At some point, that person pursued her to get access to her laptop and smartphone. It was for transferring money to invest in cryptocurrencies. At least she believed it. Since she trusted that person, she did not expect anything bad would happen because of that.

She contacted her bank to check out the specific transfer. She was shocked at that time and realized that she was scammed. That was not a crypto investment. That was a complete fraud and that criminal actor drained her life savings which was worth $227,000.

At the beginning of your crypto journey, you probably do something silly. Now you laugh at yourself. But some mistakes can cost you way more than you can imagine. That woman is afraid of her future after losing her life savings. She would not invest everything in crypto but criminal actors stole everything from her bank account. It is not easy to accept that.

Trusting someone you do not know anything is risky. You should not give access to your laptop and smartphone. That unknown person can do anything to hurt you financially. Your personal sensitive information can be stolen and that can be used to steal your money and cryptocurrency. Or, Criminal actors can blackmail you to make you do something that they want.

If you are in crypto, you must see crypto scams and fraud. If you become a victim, you will surely lose money. People focus on making more money in crypto and that's great. You have to pay more attention to protecting your trading and investment capital as well. You will fail to bring anything to your home from the market if you cannot protect your capital.

It sucks to hear but there are a lot of scams in crypto. People have to be very careful and I don't trust most of the ads there.

I just ignore those ads. If an unknown person approaches to preach investing in a particular crypto, that's a big no.
