If you run any business, there are two types of environment you are working in. Internal environment and external environment. You can directly control the internal environment. You can make decisions and do things that give you the optimum results.
On the other hand, you cannot control the external environment. You can adjust and set your strategy to deal with the changing situation. For example, you cannot control the market movement. But you can control your exposure and minimize your risk. You can set your strategy when getting in the market and when getting out of the market.
