Getting The Weight Of My Chicks So I Can Track Their Growth Rate…

Hello hivers!!
Welcome to my blog…

So, today I decided to take a weight sample of my day old chicks, normally I should have don this just as there arrived before feeding them, but since there arrived late yesterday, I couldn’t do that So I had to don’t today..

Knowing the weight of my birds will help me know my progress in terms of the feed conversion ratio and will also help me in planning well next time..

With this batch, my target is to get at least 2kg within 4weeks, and I know I can achieve it with proper management and feeding.

The average weight of the birds was approximately 51g some of the chicks weighed up to 53g this of course the feed there have eaten added to it, but I would take this reading as my bases value to build on.
I sampled 25 of the chicks, there are 50 chicks in total this is to help me get a proper average weight of the chicks..

I would try to get a weakly reading of their weight to be able to track their progress very well.
