Getting To Know The Weight Of My Birds.

Hello Hivers!!
Welcome to my blog..!

So, today marks the 4week my broiler birds and 2weeks for my noiler birds and I had really wanted to be checking their weight all least every week to keep track of their weakly weight gain and total feed consumed to attain that weight..

I was constrain because the scale I had got bad and couldn’t get a new one and then I remembered I had a kitchen scale somewhere that I forgot about. Had to search for it and found it…

Getting an idea of what your birds weigh helps to know if there are doing well or there are just consuming the feed without pitting on weight.

To get the average weight of my birds I needle to sample some of their weight to get the average weight of them.

For the broilers I weigh 7 of them, I actually wanted to weigh like 10 of them, but these guys know how to peak so bad that there almost fought with me..

So I manage to sample 7, there had varrying weight, ranging from 1.8kg, 1.7kg 1.4kg, 1.2kg.

After weighing 7 of them, I added the total weight and divided it by the total number of birds weigh to get the average weight of 1.5kg which I feel isn’t bad for a start, I feel I can get more weight that this within this 4 weeks period.

While the noiler birds at 2weeks aren’t doing that bad, although the grow much slower than the broilers because there take more time to add up some weight.

The average weight from the noilers was 198g at 2 weeks..

I will try to be getting their weight every week to keep track of their feed conversion ratio and the weight there gain..

Wooow!

That's nice, weighing gives you clue on how your birds are developing. Keep it up! Wish I could get this kind of scale.
