Land Preparation For Off-Season Planting!!

So, I started out preparing the soil for planting in the off season, very soon the rains would soon stop and the dry season will come up, now would be the best time to start preparing for the season.

Off season planting is one of the most dreaded season for growers in my area because it is accompanied with so many challenges that one do not expect to happen.

Owing to the fact that there is no rain to water the crops, water becomes the first major challenge, next is the pest and diseases attacks.

There is always a large amount of pest and disease attack during the dry season, and if you aren’t experienced enough, you might loose most of your crops,

This is the season that distinguish baby gardeners from the real gardeners..😉

The good side to this is that, at the end of the stress, it is always worth it.

Because at these times there is always high demand for most of the crops which make the price go up during this period..

I plan to grow some cabbages, onions, cucumbers, and some peppers.

I plant to grow the vegetable with different growing methods and techniques I have learnt. Which would help me maximize the space I have to produce more..

I have almost finished the ridges for the onions and the multi-story gardening setup for other crops.

The tomatoes I will be growing on the soiless medium,(the coconut fibre) the last one I grow Is fruiting massively.

I hope to complete the preparations on time and start the nursery for these plants and we move from there..!!
