Hello Hivers!!
Welcome to another wonderful garden journal update from my garden..

For this month, I'm going to take you on a tour of my garden to give you some of the significant update on what's going on in my garden.
First stop, will be my tomatoes garden area, were I transplanted some tomatoes last month, and now there have started bringing out flowers and blooming vigorously which is quite exciting to see.

I recently staked the tomatoes plants with two Ty of staking method which is the trellis methods and the Florida weave method (zig-zag method) it was interesting sharing this staking methods with some interns in my garden.

Next stop is my maize plant, last month, it was having serious attacks from pest that I thought it wasn't going to bring out some cobs, but I'm so excited that the cobs have started coming out and the pest attacks have reduced owing to the fact that the rains have reduced it intensity and my organic pesticides could actually stay for longer time..

Next stop, I transplanted some Scent leaf plant in my garden which is a very important spice we do add to our meals to give it a good aromatic taste..
Scent leave ( Ocimum gratissimum ) which is known as “Clove Basil”, African Basil” which is a shrub that can be found in almost every home grown garden in my area.

My Cucumbers have been fruiting pretty well on my multi-story garden setup, I had to prune some of the leaves out to make the cucumber plants grow better and to also expose the lower part this to to allow airflow around the roots area.

I had to give my interns the opportunity of harvesting the first set of fruits from the cucumber plant, and guess what, it taste so refreshing..!!
