[ENG] Happy weekend, community! I am glad for the good receptivity that my participation had last week, in addition to the excellent support from the communities, I am happy that you have seen the photographs of the university where I study, which is a masterpiece of modern architecture.

Today, again, I join this event with a frame that deals with the dialogue between the natural and the urban. Very close to my home I found this persistent for life plant, clinging to a concrete wall and throwing such a sharp shadow that I didn't want to miss it.

¡Feliz fin de semana, comunidad! Me alegra la buena receptividad que tuvo mi participación de la semana pasada, además del excelente apoyo por parte de las comunidades, me contenta que hayan visto las fotografías de la universidad en donde estudio, la cual es una obra maestra de arquitectura moderna.

Hoy, nuevamente, me sumo a este evento con un encuadre que trata del dialogo entre lo natural y lo urbano. Muy cerca de mi hogar conseguí esta planta persistente por la vida, aferrada a un muro de concreto y arrojando una sombra tan nítida y afilada que no quise pasarla por alto.

[ENG] That day I saw several good shadows, like the one thrown by this staircase, and that curious door is not a door, it is actually a interdimensional portal to teleport to Switzerland.

[ESP] Ese día vi varias sombras buenas, como la que arroja esta escalera, y esa curiosa puerta, no es una puerta, en realidad es un portal interdimensional para teletransportarse hasta Suiza.

[ENG] When we talk about the world's environmental problems, we normally think of plastic and oil, however, these are not the only substances that humans extract from the ground, obtaining cement also involves a process that needs the raw material of the nature, such as limestone, clay, and iron ores. Paved streets hamper the natural process by which the land is nourished by rainwater, while buildings emit heat and deflect the flow of the wind.

I support design with more ephemeral materials like bamboo, I am not saying that concrete is a bad thing, but I am sure that if the whole planet is covered with this material, we would have a big ecological problem, I also think that we should think about that for the future.

[ESP] Cuando hablamos de los problemas ambientales del mundo, normalmente pensamos en el plástico y el petróleo, sin embargo, esos no son las únicas sustancias que el ser humano extrae del suelo, la obtención de cemento también conlleva un proceso que necesita la materia prima de la naturaleza, como lo sería la piedra caliza, la arcilla y minerales de hierro. Las calles pavimentadas obstaculizan el proceso natural por el cual la tierra se nutre del agua de las lluvias, mientras que los edificios emiten calor y desvían el flujo del viento.

Apoyo el diseño con materiales más efímeros como el bambú, no digo que el concreto sea algo malo, pero estoy seguro de que si todo el planeta se cubre de este material, tendríamos un gran problema ecológico, además creo que debemos pensar en eso para el futuro.
