New phone! Reviewing the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G - Amazing device

After a few tragic months because I wondered if the Xiaomi MI 11 Lite was starting to have problems, I can finally purchase a new device: a Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, a smartphone that, honestly, quite surprised me.

Being completely honest, it was inevitable to have doubts about whether to continue using the Xiaomi brand since it was the best option (taking into account that my problem with the Mi 11 was quite common in other models, so I had to investigate), but in the Al In the end it was difficult not to gravitate towards the specifications of a mid/high range like the Note 13 Pro+, especially considering that its price was lower than that of a smartphone with similar capabilities from another brand such as Samsung or Motorola.

So what did I think of the latest Redmi model right now? Although, I am not the right person to talk about its technical aspects (but I could say it superficially: 8GB RAM/256GB ROM, 120Hz panel, 5000mAh battery, Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, etc.). I could explain how it feels compared to the Mi 11 Lite, a smartphone that I was very satisfied with from a performance point of view.

For me, the main virtue of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is its ability to offer a "premium" experience for less than $500, something that not only extends to the physical characteristics of the phone (curved edges on the panel, aluminum frame, a large and attractive camera module, etc.), to the same performance of 95% of the tasks we plan to perform with it, from gaming to productivity.

However, my biggest surprise from day 1 was the functionality of the camera, which, in my opinion, handles colors much more naturally than my previous Mi 11, so I didn't have to download a modified version of Google Cam to use it as the main camera app.

Doing a little research on it I am surprised that it is of such good quality, at the end of the day I understand that Xiaomi decided to install in this phone the same sensors that Samsung usually uses in its high-end devices, but obviously Samsung usually adjusts the same ones to ensure they bring better results.

Both the front camera and the three cameras work very well with their lenses and, in my opinion, provide better content compared to most low and mid-range Xiaomi devices.

Furthermore, I think there is little left to say (and I say this in good faith): the battery is long, the response speed of the panel is excellent, and although I prefer the function of the button readers, the speed of the integrated color reader On the screen it's not bad at all.

My biggest doubt (and this is something that could be extended to all Xiaomi in general, from Redmi to Mi, including POCO) is that I hate that MIUI is so intrusive when it comes to including pre-installed applications and widgets, apart from that. , it is inexcusable that a phone I bought this year does not include the latest version of its operating system (HyperOS) preinstalled with Android 14.

Considering its price, it's one of the best options currently available, although there are likely alternatives that do a better job in a specific area (ie: the POCO in terms of raw power or good battery performance). It is a very complete package and I feel very satisfied with it.

Luego de pasar un par de meses trágicos debido a que mi querido Xiaomi MI 11 Lite empezó a presentar problemas, finalmente pude adquirir un nuevo dispositivo: Un redmi note 13 Pro+ 5G, un smartphone que honestamente me ha sorprendido bastante.

Siendo totalmente sincero, era inevitable tener dudas respecto a si continuar utilizando la marca Xiaomi era la mejor opción (Considerando que mi problema con el Mi 11 era bastante común en otros de sus modelos, por lo que llegué a investigar), pero al final fue difícil no gravitar hacia las especificaciones de un gama media/alta como el note 13 Pro+, especialmente tomando en cuenta que su precio era inferior a un smartphone de capacidades similares en otra marca como Samsung o Motorola.

Entonces, ¿Que me ha parecido hasta este momento el modelo más reciente de Redmi? Aunque yo no soy la persona indicada para hablarles de sus aspectos técnicos (pero podría vociferarlos superficialmente: 8gb de ram/256gb de rom, pantalla de 120hz, batería de 5000mAh, procesador Dimensity 7200 Ultra,etc). Si podría explicarles cómo se siente en comparación del Mi 11 Lite, un smartphone con el que yo me sentía muy satisfecho desde un punto de vista de rendimiento.

Para mí la mayor virtud del Redmi Note 13 Pro+ es su capacidad para brindar una experiencia "premium" por menos de 500 dólares, algo que no solo se extiende a los acabados físicos del celular (Bordes curvos en la pantalla, un frame de aluminio, un módulo de cámara grande y llamativo, etc), sino también al rendimiento del mismo en el 95% de las tareas que planeamos realizar con el, desde el gaming hasta la productividad.

No obstante, mi mayor sorpresa desde el día 1 fue el funcionamiento de la cámara, que, a mi parecer, maneja los colores con muchísima más naturalidad que mi anterior Mi 11, haciendo innecesaria mi manía de descargar una versión modificada de la Google Cam para emplear como aplicación de cámara principal.

Investigando un poco al respecto no me sorprende que sea de tan buena calidad, después de todo tengo entendido que Xiaomi decidió emplear en este teléfono los mismos sensores que Samsung suele utilizar en sus dispositivos de gama alta, aunque obviamente Samsung suele ajustar los mismos para que brinden mejores resultados.

Tanto la cámara frontal como las tres cámaras traseras cumplen muy bien con sus objetivos, y, a mi parecer, representa una mejora sustancial respecto a la mayoría de los dispositivos Xiaomi de gama baja y media.

Más allá de este creo que hay poco de que hablar (Y lo digo en buen sentido): la batería es duradera, la velocidad de respuesta de la pantalla es excelente, y, aunque sigo prefiriendo el funcionamiento de los lectores de huella en botón, la velocidad del lector de huellas integrado en la pantalla no está nada mal.

Mi mayor queja (Y esto es algo que podría extenderse a todos los Xiaomi en general, desde Redmi hasta Mi, pasando por POCO) es que detesto que MIUI sea tan intrusivo cuando se trata de incluir aplicaciones y widgets preinstalados, aparte, es imperdonable que un teléfono que salió este año no incluya la última versión de su OS (HyperOS) preinstalado con Android 14.

De acuerdo a su precio es una de las mejores opciones disponibles actualmente, aunque es probable que existan alternativas que realizan mejor una tarea específica (Ej: POCO si queremos potencia bruta o buen rendimiento de batería). Es un paquete muy completo y me siento muy conforme con el.
