Fractured Resolve.

I found myself pulled into a strange, fractured space that seemed like a training course. After falling to my death multiple times due to red platforms and crumbling structures, I learned to control the shifting grid with my jumps, successfully crossed the rift to reach the exit portal.

It was the strangest sensation, I was pulled directly into some kind of bizarre, alternate space. Looking around, I realized my fracture resolve was going to be tested, and I had to use every single one of my skills just to reach the goal on the other side.

I truly did not know where I was or what was happening at first. The entire area looked like a suspended training course, floating in a vast, empty void.

Right away, I noticed some glowing red sections on the floor. My gut told me I needed to stay far away from those red parts and somehow find a path to make it to the other side safely. I took a leap, but my timing was completely off. I slipped, missed my footing, and plummeted straight down. I died instantly.

When I recovered, I realized there were active platforms suspended in the air. If I pressed down or jumped on them, the layout of the entire side changed or shifted in response. I tried to make another run for it, but once again, I could not find my footing and ended up falling to my doom.

It was clear I had to stay away from those red grids entirely, but because I kept messing up my jumps, I vanished into the void over and over.

Determined to get through, I decided to try again. On my next attempt, I almost made it to the far platform, but at the very last second, I lost my balance and failed once more. It was frustrating, but during those failures, I started to notice a pattern.

The grid changed its shape and configuration with each of my jumps. Once I realized that I could actually control the movement of the platforms by timing my jumps, things started to click.

With this new strategy in mind, I focused on jumping and controlling the shifting structures beneath my feet. But just when I thought I had it figured out, the platform directly underneath me suddenly dropped much lower.

I noticed some brighter platforms were highly unstable and could not hold my weight for more than a brief second.

I had to be incredibly careful with my steps. After a few more tense, calculated leaps, I finally crossed the massive gap.

No more of those dangerous shifting grids were appearing because I had successfully made it across.

Standing on the safe side, I approached to a glowing light, which served as my return portal back to reality. By completing this fractured resolve, I heard Cal mention that it was an echo in the force, though it was deeply wounded and fragmented.

Whatever I did in that strange space, it seemed to have helped restore something.

That's all for this session. More moments coming soon and thanks for checking it out.

I was wondering about those red platforms. Did they always make you fail instantly, or was there actually a way to use them if you timed your jumps perfectly? They looked really dangerous.

Yeah there was a trick that I understood later.

The grid changed its shape and configuration with each of my jumps. Once I realized that I could actually control the movement of the platforms by timing my jumps, things started to click.

Talked about that in there.

This challenge looked very different from normal exploration. It felt more like solving a puzzle with movement than fighting enemies, and I actually enjoyed that change of pace.

I felt the same way. It was a nice break from all the combat.

Falling over and over can be frustrating but finally figuring out how the shifting platforms worked must have felt incredibly satisfying. am i right?

You're absolutely right. Finally figuring it out made all those falls worth it.
