El temor de mi hija a los exámenes de sangre y la necesidad de realizarlos

Saludos a esta hermosa comunidad de madres y padres. Espero que se encuentren muy bien y felices de poder disfrutar de las vacaciones escolares de sus hijos. Les quiero contar como empezó el inicio de vacaciones escolares de mi hija.

Hace algunos días mi pequeña hija comenzó con unos dolores de estómago y náuseas, primero pensé que era una mala digestión, así que tuve que esperar haciendo vigilancia de su malestar. Ya era tarde así que le di acetaminofen para el dolor, gracias a Dios durmió tranquila. Pero al siguiente día la lleve al ambulatorio, pues tenemos una ventaja porque queda a una cuadra de la casa. Tuvimos que esperar porque habían algunas personas esperando.

A few days ago my little daughter started with some stomach pains and nausea, first I thought it was a bad digestion, so I had to wait watching her discomfort. It was already late so I gave her acetaminophen for the pain, thank God she slept peacefully. But the next day I took her to the ambulatory, since we have an advantage because it is a block away from the house. We had to wait because there were some people waiting.

Cuando la atendieron comenzaron a revisarla, allí asisten estudiantes de medicina, así que comenzaron a sacar conclusiones y yo casi que ni me aguantaba de los nervios. Al fin llegaron a la conclusión que era una colitis o principios de una apendicitis 😟. Claro yo tratando de calmarme, ya que solo pensar en una apendicitis me provocó mucha preocupación. La doctora me sugirió primero hacerle unos exámenes de hematología y luego una ecografía abdominal.

El resto del día seguí pendiente de ella, porque me asustó el hecho que fuera una apendicitis. Y mientras el transcurso del día hablé mucho con ella, lo que significaba hacerle unos exámenes de sangre y para que se hacen, porque a ella le ha dado mucho miedo las agujas. De hecho hacia mucho tiempo no le hacía exámenes de sangre.

When they attended her they started to check her, there are medical students there, so they started to draw conclusions and I almost couldn't stand it because I was so nervous. Finally they came to the conclusion that it was colitis or the beginning of appendicitis 😟. Of course I was trying to calm down, since just the thought of appendicitis made me very worried. The doctor suggested me first to do some hematology tests and then an abdominal ultrasound.

The rest of the day I continued to keep an eye on her, because I was scared that it might be appendicitis. And during the course of the day I talked to her a lot about what it meant to do some blood tests and what they are for, because she has been very afraid of needles. In fact, it had been a long time since I had done a blood test.

Al día siguiente que fuimos al laboratorio, Mientras daba los datos personales, se me escapó sin darme cuenta ya había salido huyendo del laboratorio 😲. Salí a hablar con ella, yo pensé que ya había asimilado lo que habíamos hablado. Con mucha paciencia la lleve al laboratorio, y le dije que no mirara la aguja, así sería mucho más fácil tanto para ella como para la señora que tomaría la muestra. 💉 Así mismo lo hizo, claro terminó llorando pero al ratito se tranquilizó.

Ese mismo día fui a buscar los resultados. Un valor estaba un poco alto, así que inmediatamente investigue de que se trataba ese valor. Pero la información que encontré a parte de ser viral no me gustó para nada. Espere al otro día llevar los resultados a la doctora. Gracias a Dios no era apendicitis, la doctora dijo que había salido bien, aún así quedé pendiente llevar el informe del eco, para que la doctora continúe con lo que sigue. Hasta ahora a Leoneidys no le han vuelto a dar ese malestar de estómago. Sin embargo, sigo estando pendiente.

The day after we went to the lab, while I was giving the personal data, she escaped me without realizing I had already run away from the lab 😲. I went out to talk to her, I thought she had already assimilated what we had talked about. With a lot of patience I took her to the lab, and told her not to look at the needle, that way it would be much easier for both her and the lady who would take the sample. She did just that, of course she ended up crying, but she calmed down after a while.

That same day I went to look for the results. One value was a little high, so I immediately investigated what that value was about. But the information I found, apart from being viral, did not please me at all. I waited the next day to take the results to the doctor. Thank God it was not appendicitis, the doctor said it was fine, but I still had to take the report of the echo, so that the doctor could continue with the next steps. So far Leoneidys has not had any more stomach discomfort. However, I am still pending.

Todos los padres pasamos por momentos de angustia por la salud de nuestros hijos. Me considero una persona muy nerviosa en cuestión de salud, es que me han pasado tantas cosas que casi estoy traumatizada. De allí que como madre debo autocontrolarme para mantener la calma para poder también darle ejemplo a mi hija, aunque les confieso no es nada facil, más aún cuando se trata de mi hijita.
Espero pronto mandarle hacer la ecografía, mientras espero que no vuelva a tener esos malestares.

Amigos padres y madres mientras que podamos saquemos provecho para disfrutar en familia, teniendo la espectativa que tendremos tiempos mejores.

All parents go through moments of anxiety about their children's health. I consider myself a very nervous person when it comes to health, so many things have happened to me that I am almost traumatized. That is why as a mother I have to control myself to keep calm so I can also give an example to my daughter, although I confess it is not easy, even more so when it is my little daughter.
I hope soon to send her for an ultrasound, and in the meantime I hope she will not have these discomforts again.
