WHITE LIE GOOD OR BAD?

I once discussed my stance concerning white lies, how white lies may be necessary in extreme situations, such as to protect someone's deep feelings or to save a life. I believe that lying should never become a regular practice or a lazy excuse, as it should not consume who we are. White lies are not a license to be deceitful, but a carefully rationed tool used to mitigate harm. It is always a necessary tool to have a healthy relationship. Everyone has their ways of reacting to things; some people are unable to take the truth at once. It is better to drop the truth little by little until you are sure they can handle the rest. As such, white lies could be used in such instances.

I am currently watching a movie series, in the movie series, a cardio surgeon was lied to about the state of her husband’s health who was undergoing a surgical treatment in the another operation room in the same hospital she works while she was operating on a different patient at the time, she was asked for an update about the progress of her husband’s treatment and they had to lie to her that the operation was a success while the husband was already dead, the surgeon was operating on another woman’s heart which was a very vital operation and the news of her husband’s date would affect the outcome of her surgery. If she were told that the husband was dead before she finished operating on the patient, she might lose her composure and could affect the outcome of the surgery. Such a lie could be considered a white lie, but in such a case, the person who was lied to will not see the benefit of such a lie and will only feel betrayed by their colleagues and may end up hating them for what they had done.

Some white lies are better laid down slowly, this is so because the hit should not meet the person all at once, but in the case of this movie, they maintained a complete reality different from the truth and later dropped the truth all at once on her which was a wrong way to go about it, and it became overwhelming for the surgeon, and it had a toxic impact on her, even though their intention was pure.

An acquaintance had invited me to his house for quite a while, and I told him I would come. Recently, he asked me why I hadn’t come to visit him yet, and I had to make an excuse about working at night and being fully occupied at weekends, which isn’t true because I am always free at weekends with little or nothing to do. The reason I haven’t visited is that I feel I will get bored and will want to leave almost immediately after arriving at his house. Knowing the truth would have made him feel that I don’t have regard for him, not knowing that it is mostly natural for me to want to go out, but still being unable to go.
