The bible did not tell us not to watch the movie. It is not directly a sin to God. Movies are like reading a book or listening to someone, so it is part of the world today. The major thing is the type of movie that you watch. The bible has always told us to look out for what is pure and good.

Philippians 4:8 says: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things.”

Bro Eli tells us to avoid movies that can lead us to sin, movies that contain sexual acts, bad language should be avoided. Watching such movies can lead us to sin. Jesus said that sin starts from our thoughts. Movies that will make us have a bad thought about something, is not a good movie and is advisable to avoid such movies.

Matthew 5:28 says: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Watching good movies is not a sin, but we must avoid the bad movies which will lead us to sin. As good Christians we should choose movies that will build our faith with God. Mostly movies that talk about God and his good did.
