WE definitely don't mind dual language, just make sure it's not in columns or switching between one or the other - do a block post in English, then follow by your language. @anttn does this well - use his style as an example.

Hi @anli, we do put a reason in the pop up box but it would have been muted as the title and beginning of post was in German. Our rules clearly state English only as our curators are English speakers, however, we do make exceptions of English is first and then the second language. As we are always busy, we don't have time to explain on every post why they have been muted, and like other communities, expect people to read the rules and post guidelines we have pinned to our profile, but always respond if people ask why they were muted. Had you asked at the time and quickly corrected it, we would have unmuted. Hope this explains things. Your jump link was very cool though! It's just so much easier for our curators if it's English. It's nothing to do with anything else but ease and clarity. 💙

@riverflows, thank you so much for your feedback on this. Well, to be absolutely honest, when I did the post and read your guidelines afterwards I first needed some empathy for changing my habit of moving English first. Then, after I put in the jump for a compromise, I felt like "Well, we'll see what happens." Next day I saw the mute.

First off, having the post still muted looks and feels awkward. So now after having a full bucket with empathy from my own reflections and yours, I changed the post with ease. Now it's English first and I am looking forward to having it unmuted. My next post already in the back of my head for hopefully being welcome in your pleasant community. !invest_vote
