This is the final part of my Coorg trip. If you missed the part 1 and part 2 of my Trip to Coorg series, here are the links:

PART-1
Underwater Aquarium, Mysore | Trip to Coorg-1
It is all about our visit to the Lokaranjan Underwater Tunnel Aquarium in Mysore, India.

PART-2
Trippy Mirrors & My First Snow | Trip to Coorg - 2
This post is about our visit to the Mirror Maze and the Snow City in Mysore, India.

PART-3
Namdroling Monastery - Golden Temple | Trip to Coorg - 3
This post is about our experience at the Tibetan Buddhist monk temple - Namdroling Monastery in Coorg, India.

After the calming visit to the Namdroling Monastery, in the evening we planned to visit the Raja’s Seat Park. The entry fee here is INR 20 (0.24 USD). The park was beautiful with a large variety of flowers. There’s a sunset point here as well.

It was a stunning view and the area was cool as it had just rained some time before we got there.
What really caught our attention though was this adventure ride called “Rocket Ejector”. It is like a catapult and you are tightly strapped to high tension ropes and ejected into the air with extreme force. This activity was priced at INR 200 (2.44 USD) and we had some real fun dangling and getting tossed around.

The instructor helping us with it mentioned I was the first girl to be this confident to go try this out hehe. And I’ll take that as a compliment. It was probably because I was way too excited to feel any other emotion at that point of time. He asked me if I wanted to go up to the full height and I said yes. If you are not very confident about doing it, you can mention it to them and they will reduce the height and intensity to which they will eject you. I was tightly strapped and so it did seem like a safe ride.

There are other activities too here like the Ziplining and there is a children’s park as well. We spent the rest of the evening here.

We headed to Palm Era Resorts for dinner. Here, we tried the Chicken Ghee Roast and it was beautiful. It was perfectly spicy and tasty. Just like the authentic Mangalorean style of making it. We also had some egg pasta which was mediocre, and had some refreshing fruit juices.

Then we picked up some good wine and then crashed for the day. Next morning, we planned to go visit the Abbey Waterfalls and then the Mandalpatti Hills.

It took us an hour’s journey from the spot we were staying at, to get to Abbey Falls. It was a beautiful view here as well. The entry fee here is INR 20 (0.24 USD). Since it’s the summers, there wasn’t a lot of water flowing, but it still was a splendid view.

We spent some time here and then headed towards the Mandalpatti Peak. It was another hour away from this spot. We planned to go offroading to the peak. On our way, we stopped at a view point with a beautiful view of the hills. Here are some shots we took here:

We then headed towards the main peak. On reaching there, sadly, we were told that we weren’t allowed to take bikes further. They now only allow jeeps for safari. But we really wanted to go off-roading on the route but that didn’t work out.

So, we then planned to go to a lake nearby and spend some time there. However, on our way there, there was some issue with the bike’s chain and it fell off. We had to get off the bike, push it up the hill till we got to a hotel. And then, some kind tourists there helped us fix it. We had to then get to a mechanic as soon as possible and get it properly repaired and oiled. An adventure for real! 😂

Finally, after all the struggle, we rode back to the hills and got to the lake point. The lake had a pretty view and was quite shallow in some parts. So, we stepped in and took some pictures there. The water was cool and it felt relaxing and nice to just sit with our feet dipped in.

We had a nice relaxing time and then headed to another Tibetan restaurant for dinner. We had some Thukpa which was decent and some noodles. And then, called it a night.

Next day, we headed back to Bangalore and that was the end to our Trip to Coorg.

The trip was beautiful and we made some memories for life. Can’t wait to go on another trip sometime soon and share it with you all here. <3

The view here is amazing! That rocket sling activity is probably too scary for me though.
