Discovery of the green fire caterpillar // Photography behind the macro lens camera,jumping spiders,yellow butterfly and green fire caterpillars

In this post, I will share my experience and success in finding a very dangerous caterpillar, namely the green fire caterpillar. Not only that, I also managed to find several other interesting objects such as jumping spiders and yellow butterflies in mating. Of course, this is not a coincidence, to get all of them I had to enter a palm oil plantation which is quite far from my house.It had not rained in my area for two weeks, making the ground dry and dusty,at 1:00 pm, I went into the oil palm plantation and at that time the sun was quite hot.

Armed with a cellphone and a macro lens, I began exploring the oil palm plantation area with enthusiasm and the hope of getting satisfactory results.

The first object I managed to find was a jumping spider, this spider has a very large population in my area so we can easily find it. Actually I have found this spider very often, but its uniqueness makes me always interested in immortalizing it, I managed to find this spider when it was perched on wild grass.

"-----Yellow butterfly-----"

Under the wild leaves I managed to find a pair of yellow butterflies that were mating, these butterflies were really enjoying their romantic moment and didn't care about me even though I was approaching them. It was very easy for me to take pictures of them but the atmosphere under the leaves was very dark so I didn't have enough light to take pictures of them using a macro lens.

When I was cutting wild plants to open a path,I accidentally found a green fire caterpillar hiding under a tree branch, this caterpillar managed to surprise me, my body hair immediately stood up, I was worried about how dangerous this caterpillar was.

Taking pictures of this caterpillar in the bushes was like looking for a new problem, at first I didn't dare but I saw that this caterpillar had a unique feature that other hairy caterpillars might not have, after thinking long and hard I decided to move this caterpillar to a more open place using a tree branch.

The main color of this caterpillar is green and that makes it easier for it to camouflage itself among the leaves, but there is a yellow and blue pattern on its back which makes this caterpillar look even more elegant, on its body there are also fine branched thorns that protrude and at a glance look like fireworks.

What's even more interesting is that this caterpillar has four horns, two on the front and two on the back, making it a bit confusing to identify its face. If we look at this caterpillar in more detail, we'll see a blue color at the tips of the horns, but the tips of the horns are also covered in fine, unique-looking spines.

Even though this caterpillar has a unique and tempting shape and color, it is highly recommended not to play with it because the fine thorns are very dangerous if they come into contact with our skin. Believe me, this caterpillar is very dangerous, the fine thorns on its body can make our skin swell, itch, and feel like it is burning and that sounds very scary, so this caterpillar is only for viewing.
