THE CHARM OF SEBATAS EMBUN // Enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Gayo Highlands

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

In this post, I would like to share my experience of visiting a natural tourist destination in the Gayo Highlands called Sebatas Embun. This was my second visit to this place, and the purpose of returning was to make up for my previous mistake—I arrived too late on my first visit.I would like to explain that this is an open-air natural attraction, but its true magic can only be experienced early in the morning. At that time, a thick blanket of fog covers the scenery below, creating a breathtaking view that makes we feel as if we are standing above the clouds.
Sebatas Embun, which can be translated into English as "At the Edge of the Dew," truly lives up to its name. This beautiful destination offers one of the best experiences of the early morning, where nature presents a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere.

This tourist destination is located in Calo Blang Gele Village, Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The good news is that it is on the same route as the Kala Temu tourist destination, making it possible to visit several attractions in a single day.
Although this place is incredibly beautiful, getting there can be quite challenging, visitors have to travel along rural roads and pass through vast coffee plantations. The road conditions are often muddy, making it especially difficult to reach the destination by motorcycle.

But the positive side is that we can meet many farmers there, feel the natural tranquility of nature in the morning and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.

I have forgotten exactly what time I started this journey, but I clearly remember arriving at this tourist destination at around 6:00 am. Surprisingly, the most challenging part was not the difficult road access, but the extremely cold weather, since this destination is located on top of a hill,of course we can imagine just how chilly the atmosphere is, especially in the early morning.

In the main area, we are greeted by a beautiful natural view in the form of yellow bamboo that has been decorated and curved so that it looks like a tunnel or corridor. On the other hand, this area is also a favorite area for many visitors to take photos because it has a beautiful and elegant background view.

Usually, many tourist destinations in Aceh are crowded in the afternoon. However, this tourist destination is different, here we can find many visitors arriving early in the morning because if we arrive even a little late, we will no longer be able to enjoy this beautiful view, as the thick fog disappears once the sun becomes bright.

What amazed me the most about this place was how clean it was. The grass was well maintained, and there were many huts that visitors could use as resting places. Unfortunately, this tourist destination does not have any villas yet, so visitors cannot stay overnight here.

Perhaps this was the moment when this tourist destination reached the peak of its beauty. Just look at the thick fog, making it feel as if we were completely surrounded by it. In fact, below us we would normally be able to enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery along with a panoramic view of the city of Takengon. However, at this particular moment, none of it was visible, all we could see was a sea of dense fog. This is also why this destination is often referred to as the "tourist destination above the clouds."
