"Time flies when you are having fun" - Albert Einstein

Time can never be wasted when you're having fun.

Yet, I believe there's a limit here too...

The Phantom Liberty experience so far has been one of a kind. I wish I could say it was all sweet and simple, but it was the opposite. Short and disquieting? That goes better with this expansion. There's still a lot more to do, and lots of places to explore, we're not done just yet.

However, at least I didn't have to choose the most depressing ending.

Would you rather live in peace as Mr. Nobody, die ripe, old, and smelling slightly of urine? Or go down for all times in a blaze of glory, smelling near like posies, without seeing your thirtieth? - Dexter 'Dex' Deshawn

Can you guess the path I chose?

Again, I like to keep things balanced.

I wouldn't want to live too long, with limited mobility, while becoming a burden for others. But, I'd like to live just long enough, just so that I can prove to myself that I'm capable. A meaningful life is all I want, it doesn't matter how long I live.

And I guess that's exactly what I did in this game, just like any other single-player, story-mode game I've played and experienced.

You start on another sunny day, minding your own business on the streets, taking names and cashing checks.

And the next day you find yourself working for the government, trying to save the president. That's surely a lot to take in. Yet, it's V we're talking about. The luckiest runner/merc in Night City. Luck is a big factor in life; the one who has it on their side leaves unscathed from a massacre, the one who doesn't, well, tough luck!

A lucky fool who fell in the water full of sharks just might get out of it alive. But, an unlucky pundit, no matter how skilled they are, might even get killed by a damn cow.

Remember, cows kill more people annually than sharks...

And with luck on our side, the task was accomplished smoothly.

Yes, that's Idris Elba right there, and of course, Keanu Reeves too.

Now, obviously, after the first task was taken care of, we quite instantly got tasked to rescue another mischievous bird, Songbird.

During that time I chose to stall a bit, explore, and check out some pretty faces and pretty views. The details are on a different level in this game, especially during nighttime. No wonder it's called Night City.

However, Dog Town acts quite indifferent to the rest of Night City. Dog Town simply doesn't care. The characters and NPCs there make it quite obvious. There's a hint of a superiority complex working here. So, they'd rather not be compared to Night City, even though this little town is in the midst of Night City.

Can you blame them though? They don't have to pay taxes. But, they forget that there are other ways to extract money from the common people's pockets...

Is it just me? Or does the game feel way more detailed after the addition of Phantom Liberty and after the latest patch and update?

I could sit in one place for hours and keep taking screenshots. I've already turned a few screenshots into wallpapers haha. This is one hell of a photogenic game, and you can't deny it. I just wish that Phantom Liberty had more content, by content I mean more "main" missions, and a few more story-driven tasks.

Yet, you just can't have it all, can you? Whatever we did get though, was damn near perfect.

So, what's next? A bit more dry and dusty exploration of Night City maybe?

And then the wait begins, for Cyberpunk 2. It'll take at least a decade to develop, Cyberpunk 2077 took 8 years to create, 11 if you consider the expansions and updates. So, a decade, eh? I'll be way past my "gaming age" then, but I'll definitely be playing though; of course, if I am capable, alive, and well.

10 years is a long long time. We'll see what life has in store for us then...

For now, I'll be seeing you folks on the next one.

Cheers & GG 🥃☮️

It's great to know that you had such an enjoyable experience with Cyberpunk 2077 and its DLC. I respect you wishing there were more "main" missions and a deeper story in the expansion and I hope there'll be more soon, maybe in the second version of the franchise?

Thanks for giving us this valuable post. Happy gaming

Sadly, this is the end for Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2 or something is what we can expect next, but the wait is long, at least a decade.

Thanks for giving us this valuable post. Happy gaming
