First Win on Warzone 2

HELLO, HELOOO, GOOD PEOPLE OF HIVE ☀️🤠

How are you folks doing today? I hope you're all doing A-OK.
I myself am doing quite alright at the moment, going through a fairly stable period; after taking care of a few "sticky" situations and problems, I am now a bit relaxed, and in place.
I can't believe that it's already been a week that we've moved to our new house, it didn't even take much time for us to fit in. All of the family members fit right in, as if we were all the missing pieces to the puzzle haha.

I decided to get a new internet connection from a better ISP after moving to the new house, and so far the experience and service has been top notch. Even though the bandwidth is about the same, the downloads and uploads speeds are almost 10 times of what they used to be on the previous connection.

So, you surely can expect better quality gameplay from now on. Yes, it won't make a ton of difference, but every little detail and addition matters in such highly competitive games, they all add up in the end.

Warzone 2 has been out for about 10 days now. So far me and the boys have only managed to drop in for two sessions. We were actually quite hyped to try it out, but most of us were busy with work, so we had to skip out on a few days and test sessions. Yet, whatever we got to experience and see first hand is all here in this little gameplay. It was actually our first drop into Warzone 2, and we somehow managed to secure the win too haha. I don't know how we did it, but it surely was close, we were almost eliminated around mid-game.

One thing I have to say is that Warzone 2 is almost nothing like the original Warzone, it's more similar to PUBG in many ways. The sprint duration is slow, the cars surely feel heavy just like PUBG, absolutely no advanced movement mechanics, even buying a loadout for yourself isn't an option anymore. Is this even Warzone? The things that used to make Warzone unique are no longer a part of the game.

The game also feels unfinished, like it's in the midst of Beta testing and tuning. A LOT of work needs to be a done, and the good thing is that the players ready to forgive the devs and share their views and input. Hopefully the devs and studios will actually listen this time, because the game does have potential, but a lot tuning and fixing still needs to be done. I give it about 4 months, 2 more Seasons, till we get to experience a product that actually feels complete.

Modern Warfare 2 on the other hand is actually feeling quite nice, thanks to the addition of Shoot House, we're finally getting to see some proper action in Multiplayer. MW 2 is stable as well, unlike Warzone 2, a few minor issues here and there in Multiplayer, but non as serious as the issues we get to see in Warzone 2.

I'll probably write a separate post for Warzone 2, maybe even a comparison of MW 2 vs WZ 2, what we can change, should change, and how we can really improve the game.

For the gameplay you can expect a not so "Warzone-ney" experience. A very slow game, which feels more like a jogging simulator to me lol. The map is HUGE, probably about twice the size of Verdansk/Caldera, and that is why the pacing is so slow. In the first half of the game you barely find any opponents, unless you drop hot and early. The proximity chat is surely a fun addition, but I like to keep it off, for competitive reason, because such features can be quite distracting, you know.

Instead of our usual run and gun approach, we had to take it slow. The plan was that we get to know the game and map a bit more, which helped us secure our win quite easily at the end, even without our loadouts.

The conclusion being, Warzone 2 isn't actually Warzone, hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say haha. Yet, if you're someone who likes a slow paced game, one that feels like a digital jogging game, then this might be the Battle Royale for you.

All in all, that's about it for our little Warzone 2 gameplay, and my thoughts about the game. A long way to go still, and for now, Warzone 2 really isn't my cup of tea.

What are your thoughts? Have you seen any Warzone 2 gameplay so far? Have you tried the game yourself? It's free to play on Steam and Battle.net, and unlike before, it won't eat up all your storage space like the original Warzone lol. Do share your thoughts below.

I'll be signing off from here, be seeing you folks on the next one.

Cheers & GG 🥃☮️

Nice to hear you have a better internet connection now. I upgraded recently too after having no internet at all for a while and it feels so gooood. Great gameplay. I haven't played any Warzone ever since I tried it out in the beginning. Maybe I should give it a try again soon.

Hey, Straw, what's up man? How've you been?

I upgraded recently too after having no internet at all for a while and it feels so gooood.

How did that happen? Why didn't you have any internet connection for a while? And I'm glad it all got sorted, no internet is a pain in the ass, whereas a newer and better internet experience just feels heavenly. 😂

Maybe I should give it a try again soon.

You should give this new one a try, it's quite different compared to the original, so you might end up liking it. Recently I've been trying out a lot of different games on and off, feels good to change things up every now and then.

Thanks for dropping by, brother, really appreciate it. Much love. 🥃

I've been good man. How you been doing?

Well I moved into a new place and it took a while until they got it installed there.

I'll try this one out. Could be fun.

How you been doing?

Quite alright man, surviving.

Well I moved into a new place and it took a while until they got it installed there.

What a coincidence, I just moved to our new place just last week haha. Fortunately, I contacted the new ISP early on, and they were ready to install the new connection as soon as I stepped into the new house.

I'll try this one out. Could be fun.

You should, it's fun and quite chill, whereas the original was a sweat-feast lol. But the game does have a lot of crashing issues and bugs though, since it's still in the early stages.

Wow, winning in War zone is hard. i started playing war zone 2 as well. dude, I am not familiar with battle royal games. i think its not fair! every single match i just run for a person to kill and suddenly some one going to kill me from back or with a sniper from far away. and with just one death the game is over!! i think it is not fair! can you help me or teach me some tricks to play better?

The trick for Warzone 2 is to play slow and to ALWAYS hang around cover. Finding a proper weapon and loadout that suits you can also make a ton of difference.

If you're away from the circle/zone, and have a lot of empty ground to cover, then make sure to have a car with you, bigger the better. Maybe even carry a gas can if the distance is a lot.

Around mid to endgame try to play the higher ground. Equip a self-revive kit, maybe have a deployable cover or a trophy system, even an ammo or armor box. Also, don't take unnecessary shots or fights. When you're a 100% that you can secure an elimination, only then you should engage.

That's about it I guess, a little Warzone 2 101 for you. Hopefully this will help.

Cheers 🥃
