Hoy mi post es para ustedes que aman trabajar con sus manitos y dar rienda suelta a su imaginación, y como ven hemos hecho una pequeña pausa en las manualidades para la habitación de Miranda, o mejor dicho, he parado las publicaciones, porque en realidad cada día estoy haciendo cositas solo que me gusta traerles variedad, así que hoy venimos con algo de bisutería.

Se trata de unos aretes largos, súper delicados que me dejaron enamorada y que no podía dejar de compartir con ustedes.

Hello, creative folks at Hive! Today’s post is for all of you who love getting your hands dirty and letting your imagination run wild. As you can see, we’ve taken a little break from the crafts for Miranda’s room—or rather, I’ve paused the posts—because, in truth, I’m making little things every day, but I like to bring you a bit of variety, so today we’re bringing you some jewellery.

These are some long, super-delicate earrings that I fell in love with and just had to share with you.

Estos pendientes están elaborados con cadena, balines y cristales de swarovski mini, unas cositas realmente lindas y delicadas en color azul claro, y aunque nunca he sido fan de los zarcillos largos, creo que con mis rulos se ven bastante bien, y en este caso son muy discretos por lo que me parecieron perfectos a pesar de ser largos, y sin más que hablar, vamos directo al paso a paso.

These earrings are made from chain, beads and mini Swarovski crystals – they’re really lovely, delicate little things in a light blue colour. Although I’ve never been a fan of long earrings, I think they look quite nice with my curls, and in this case they’re very understated, so I thought they were perfect despite being long. Without further ado, let’s get straight to the step-by-step guide.

Paso a paso/ Step by step

Estos aretes están compuestos por varias piezas y la primera de ellas es un balín en solitario que vamos a elaborar con un alfiler de ojo, y lo que hacemos es pasar el balín por el alfiler, cortamos el excedente con la tenaza dejando aproximadamente 1 cm de largo y giramos hacia adentro con la pinza redonda.

La idea es crear otro aro u ojito, ya que vamos a conectar piezas de ambos lados, y de este balín vamos a crear dos.

These earrings are made up of several parts, the first of which is a single bead that we’re going to make using an eye pin. We thread the bead onto the pin, cut off the excess with wire cutters, leaving approximately 1 cm, and bend it inwards using round-nose pliers.

The idea is to create another loop or eye, as we’re going to connect pieces on both sides, and we’re going to make two of these beads.

El siguiente paso es cortar dos piezas de cadena, y el tamaño va a depender de cuán largos quieren sus aretes, en mi caso miden 2 cm solamente.

The next step is to cut two lengths of chain; the length will depend on how long you want your earrings to be. In my case, they’re only 2 cm long.

Lo que sigue es elaborar la última pieza que va a llevar nuestro pendiente, y es la que tiene los cristales, y para realizarla vamos a utilizar un alfiler de ojo y 7 cristales de swarovski para cada arete, y lo que haremos es hacer pasar los cristales por el alfiler de ojo, y una vez terminemos este paso, necesitamos cerrar la pieza, y como en este caso solo necesitamos un aro, en el otro extremo vamos a cortar el excedente, dejando apenas unos milímetros que nos permitan doblar hacia adentro y cerrar.

Esto lo haremos en principio con la pinza redonda, y finalmente sellamos con la pinza plana. Y de esta pieza vamos a elaborar dos.

Next, we’ll make the final component for our earring—the one with the crystals. To do this, we’ll use an eye pin and seven Swarovski crystals for each earring, We will thread the crystals onto the eye pin, and once we have finished this step, we need to close the piece. As in this case we only need a loop, we will cut off the excess at the other end, leaving just a few millimetres so that we can fold it inwards and close it.

We’ll do this initially with the round-nose pliers, and finally seal it with the flat-nose pliers. And we’re going to make two of these pieces.

El siguiente paso es conectar las piezas del colgante y comenzaremos uniendo la cadena al balín en solitario y para esto abrimos uno de los extremos de la pieza, hacemos pasar la cadena, cerramos y aseguramos con la pinza plana.

Lo que sigue es conectar la pieza con los cristales de swarovski, y para ello abriremos el extremo que tiene el arito, hacemos pasar la cadena y cerramos con la pinza plana.

De esta manera tenemos listo el colgante de nuestros zarcillos.

The next step is to assemble the pendant, starting by attaching the chain to the single bead. To do this, open one end of the piece, thread the chain through, close it and secure it with the flat-nose pliers.

Next, we connect the piece with the Swarovski crystals. To do this, we open the end with the ring, thread the chain through and close it with the flat-nose pliers.

And there you have it: the pendant for our earrings is ready.

En este punto ya solo nos queda conectar el pin, y para esto abrimos el aro disponible de nuestro colgante y lo hacemos pasar por el orificio del pin, cerramos y aseguramos con la pinza plana y tenemos listos nuestros pendientes.

At this point, all that remains is to attach the pin. To do this, open the loop on the pendant, thread it through the hole in the pin, close it and secure it with the flat-nose pliers, and your earrings are ready.

Como pueden ver es un trabajo sencillo, solo se trata de hacer pasar piezas por los alfileres de ojo, realizar algunos cortes y conectar piezas entre sí, pero el resultado es realmente precioso. Unos pendientes muy delicados, sencillos y femeninos.

As you can see, it’s a simple project: you just need to thread the pieces onto the eye pins, make a few cuts and connect the pieces together, but the result is truly beautiful. A pair of very delicate, simple and feminine earrings.
