"Personalizar", no es más que darle nuestro "toque especial" a algo, de manera que se adapte a nuestro gusto y que armonice con quienes somos, pero esto no siempre es tarea fácil, y para mí que soy bastante quisquillosa, casi que es misión imposible.

Y como si eso no fuese suficiente, tengo un tino increíble para que me guste siempre lo más caro de la tienda, por lo que muchas veces cuando salgo a comprar algo regreso frustrada; bien sea porque no encuentro nada que me guste, o porque lo que me ha gustado no lo puedo pagar. Pero esto, poco a poco, ha dejado de ser un problema, y les cuento por qué.

MACETAS PERSONALIZADAS

Y por las imágenes que les muestro, ya saben por dónde viene la cosa... "Rosa, con más macetas y cactus", y es que eso del minimalismo para decorar, parece que no va conmigo, y ahora mi mueble de "entretenimiento" pasó a estar lleno de macetas, algo así como un exhibidor de cactus y plantas, aunque viéndolo bien, para mí, sigue siendo de ¡entretenimiento!.

En fin, para no hacerlo más largo (cosa que no me cuesta ni un poco), hace unos días se me ocurrió darle una segunda oportunidad a una maceta de barro que sirvió de souvenir para el primer añito de mi hijo Matías, hace doce años (casi trece).

Y lo que quería hacer era pintarla, pero tenía dos problemas: el primero, era que la superficie de la maceta estaba recubierta con una capa de pega, por lo que sería imposible trabajar con acuarelas, que es lo que tengo en casa, y el otro problema es que no podía hacer gastos en pintura al frío, o en spray, por lo que tocó solucionar, y lo hice recubriendo la maceta con cinta de papel, para luego poder usar las acuarelas.

Y ahora sí... esto es lo que necesitarán.

Procedimiento

El primer paso para pintar nuestra maceta, es cubrirla por completo con la cinta adhesiva.

Como les dije, si no le gustan las marcas que quedan al pegar la cinta, siempre pueden estirarla muy bien, y con eso resolverán el problema, pero para mí la textura la hizo lucir más linda.

Una vez cubierta toda la maceta, el siguiente paso es comenzar a pintar, y como mi pequeña maceta era para sembrar un cactus, me pareció buena idea hacer una especie de degradé en tonos naranja, rojo y negro, simulando una puesta de sol, aunque mi esposo dice que parece la bandera de Alemania.

Pero dejemos eso de lado y continuemos con la maceta, sobre la cual pinté dos franjas de naranja, en dos tonos diferentes, iniciando por uno más claro y luego uno más oscuro.

Seguidamente, pasé al tono rojo, siempre comenzando a pintar cubriendo un poquito del color anterior para que se vea como que se mezclan.

Finalmente, el último color en agregar fue el negro, el cual lo apliqué de la misma manera que los anteriores, con un poquito de difuminado entre color y color.

Y de esta forma, de una manera rápida y sencilla, estaba lista mi maceta para recibir a un pequeño cactus que está en recuperación.

Como recomendación, antes de aplicar un nuevo color, esperaremos a que el anterior haya secado por completo, porque aunque queremos que las capas se vean como fusionadas, no queremos que se manchen.

En mi caso, creo que me falta mucho para pintar bien, pero dentro de todo, me gustó el resultado, y por supuesto voy por más!

Anyway, in order not to make it longer (which is not difficult for me), a few days ago it occurred to me to give a second chance to a clay pot that served as a souvenir for the first birthday of my son Matías, twelve years ago (almost thirteen).

And what I wanted to do was to paint it, but I had two problems: the first was that the surface of the pot was covered with a layer of glue, so it would be impossible to work with watercolors, which is what I have at home, and the other problem is that I could not spend on cold paint, or spray, so I had to solve, and I did it by covering the pot with paper tape, so I could then use the watercolors.

And now... this is what you will need.

Procedure

The first step to paint our flowerpot is to cover it completely with the masking tape.

As I told you, if you don't like the marks left when you stick the tape, you can always stretch it very well, and with that you will solve the problem, but for me the texture made it look nicer.

Once the whole pot is covered, the next step is to start painting, and as my little pot was to plant a cactus, I thought it was a good idea to make a kind of gradient in orange, red and black tones, simulating a sunset, although my husband says it looks like the flag of Germany.

But let's leave that aside and continue with the pot, on which I painted two stripes of orange, in two different tones, starting with a lighter one and then a darker one.

Next, I moved on to the red tone, always starting to paint covering a little bit of the previous color so that it looks like they are mixed.

Finally, the last color to add was black, which was applied in the same way as the previous ones.

And in this way, in a quick and simple way, my pot was ready to receive a small cactus that is in recovery.

As a recommendation, before applying a new color, we will wait until the previous one has dried completely, because although we want the layers to look like merged, we do not want them to stain.

In my case, I think I have a long way to go to paint well, but I really liked the result, and of course I'm going for more!
