Rising from The Ashes [Eng/Esp] Contest #87

The ability to reinvent ourselves, to get up after every fall is a particularity of the human being that we share with the Phoenix, because just like him we have the ability to rise from our ashes as many times as necessary.

Hello friends! This is my first time in this beautiful community although I have read you many times because you have excellent posts and many topics of interest to us as women.

Today I am encouraged to write for you thanks to the invitation of my sister @adalathu to participate in the #contest87, because this topic of mythology is something she has always liked.

At home we are three women and @adalathu is the youngest and not by little! I am nine years ahead of her.

We grew up surrounded by books, without exaggeration in every place of our house there was a small library with books, because our parents were teachers and in particular my dad was a lover of reading and I think that's where our love for it comes from because the three of us are avid readers.

Adarix (@adalathu) has tastes more similar to those of our sister Josdaly, but the three of us share an interest in mythology.

As a child and a good part of my adolescence I used to review with my sister Josdaly (Ada was very small) some encyclopedias that we had at home and we were very interested in mythology, to the point that we made lists of gods and monsters of several that caught our attention.

Hola amigas!

We studied Greek, Roman, Scandinavian and Celtic mythology. It was really something we enjoyed and I still remember many of the stories we read.

Adarix developed the same interest at the time, so when he saw this contest he immediately wanted to participate and of course he invited me!

I was thinking a lot, researching and remembering which of the stories of these fantastic characters I liked the most to present to you. I was undecided between Icarus and Phoenix, but I finally decided on the latter option.

The Phoenix is a character belonging to Greek Mythology, a bird that has the amazing ability to rise from the ashes. According to different stories she burns in flames and then rises from her ashes.

The challenge invites us to choose a mythological character and explain why we would like it to exist and I particularly think that we are surrounded by Phoenix Birds, we ourselves are one of them.

Every day we all face different adversities, problems, illnesses, loss of loved ones and an endless number of things that many times throw us to the ground and we feel like debris.

We feel like ashes, but just like the Phoenix Bird we manage to get up and many times with more strength than before.

Every time we fall and manage to get up, we do it with a new learning, with new experiences and stronger than ever.

Undoubtedly each one of us at some point in life has had to find strength from where there is none to move forward, renew our spirit, our faith in God and in ourselves to get up again and face life.

In addition to its ability to rise from the ashes, other characteristics were attributed to the Phoenix bird, such as the healing power of its tears, great physical resistance and superhuman strength.

If we sit a little to analyze these aspects, maybe our tears do not heal others, but they have the power to heal ourselves, to cleanse our soul and release some of the weight we carry every day.

And come to think of it, many times, if not most times, the tears of others touch our heart producing a number of feelings that unite us immediately to that person and even help us to heal many things inside us.

So yes, like the Phoenix we can consider that our tears not only have healing power for us but to heal others.

As for physical endurance and strength I think that is something we likewise share with her. We don't really know our strength until we are tested and pushed to the limit, in fact much has been said about the awesome strength we are capable of demonstrating in the face of imminent danger. So here we have another coincidence with this mythical character.

And what can we say about the infinity of times we have had to face difficult moments, hard illnesses, the death of a loved one, etc. In my case the death of my father from which I had to recover almost immediately because I had a newborn baby in my arms when it happened.

So no, I do not wish that the Phoenix exists, I am convinced that each one of us becomes a Phoenix when it is necessary!

And to continue with this beautiful experience I invite my friend @mekare to participate.

Kisses and blessings!

Ah viste!!!!

Thank you very much for your welcome. I am happy to have participated in this contest that took me to remember a bit of my childhood and youth with my sisters, since mythology was one of our shared tastes.

Ten feliz noche!

Very insightful and truthful! I never thought about it, but each experience where we crash and burn, is in itself, a form of rebirth. We often are better and stronger because of it. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day.

Definitely so, every fall from which we manage to overcome, every situation that takes us to the limit strengthens us and helps us to be better every day.

Thank you very much for your comment, I value it very much!

And it's no wonder that the Phoenix is always been alluded to and lends itself in feats of human inspiration.

If we study their history, we have many similarities. The human being is capable of incredible things, just like the Phoenix.

Thanks for stopping by and reading!
