"The Treasure of Dautan" Learning About Recycling
The topic of recycling is gaining more and more strength every day and we finally seem to realize its importance and although in many countries the culture of recycling is still far away there are many people dedicated to give a little push to start taking this important topic seriously.
El tema del reciclaje cada día toma mas fuerza y es que al fin parecemos darnos cuenta de su importancia y aunque en muchos países aún la cultura del reciclaje se ve lejana hay muchisimas personas dedicadas a dar un empujoncito para que se comience a tomar en serio éste tópico tan importante.
Hello Motherhood friends, I hope you had a very special Father's Day and I wish you a blessed week! We decided to take the day off and we didn't receive any orders, we also disconnected from everything to enjoy a day exclusively for the family.
Today I want to share with you a very nice but above all educational experience that my children Matias and Miranda lived with their best friends (Santiago and Gabriela). A beautiful puppet show that touched on a topic that although it is not new, we are approaching it in the right way and that is recycling.
In Venezuela we talk a lot about recycling and in fact from a very young age we teach our children in school, but only in the sense of reusing materials that we would usually throw away.
Hola amigos de Motherhood, espero hayan disfrutado de un día del padre muy especial y deseo para ustedes que ésta semana esté llena de bendiciones! Nosotros decidimos tomarnos el día y no recibimos pedidos, además nos desconectamos de todo para disfrutar de un dia exclusivo para la familia.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy linda pero sobre todo educativa que vivieron mis hijos Matías y Miranda, con sus mejores amigos (Santiago y Gabriela). Un bellisima obra de títeres que tocaba un tema que si bien no es nuevo lo estamos abordando de la manera correcta y ése es el reciclaje.
En Venezuela se habla mucho de reciclar y de hecho desde muy pequeños se les enseña a nuestros niños en la escuela, pero sólo en el sentido de reutilizar materiales que generalmente tirariamos a la basura.
But it turns out that recycling is not only that, it involves a series of actions that must be taken at the government level so that we have the possibility of classifying waste accordingly.
For example in our country we do not have the containers that allow us to talk about true recycling, that is why different organizations are given the task of creating not only awareness but to mobilize the population to request the competent authorities to take the necessary measures so that our country can really talk about recycling.
One of these organizations is the Tin Marin Puppet Company, which is responsible for doing a beautiful job bringing this important message to the whole family. And this time we had the pleasure of seeing a show aimed at the little ones of the house that I definitely enjoyed, as much or more than they did.
Pero resulta que el reciclaje no es sólo eso, implica una serie de acciones que deben tomarse a nivel de gobierno para que tengamos la posibilidad de clasificar los desechos según corresponde.
Por ejemplo en nuestro país no se cuenta con los contenedores que nos permitan hablar de un verdadero reciclaje, es por eso que distintas organizaciones se dan a la tarea de crear no sólo conciencia sino movilizar a la población a solicitar a las autoridades competentes para que tomen las medidas necesarias y que nuestro país pueda realmente hablar de reciclaje.
Una de éstas organizaciones es la compañia de Títeres Tin Marin, que se encarga de hacer un bellisimo trabajo llevando a toda la familia éste importante mensaje. Y en ésta oportunidad tuvimos la dicha de ver un espectáculo dirgido a los más pequeños de la casa que definitivamente yo disfruté, tanto o más que ellos.
As I told you my daughter Miranda takes ballet classes at the Omar Carreño Arts Center located in the capital of our state and frequently there are all kinds of cultural activities, such as dances, plays, concerts and in this case puppet shows!
Of course we don't miss the opportunity to take our children every time we can, so when we found out that there would be a puppet show we organized with two of their best friends and taking advantage of the fact that the girls (Gabriela and Miranda) would have their ballet classes and we would stay to enjoy the activity.
We really had no idea what the play was about. We only knew that it was called "The Treasure of Dautan". So we went in with great anticipation to find out what it was all about.
From the beginning I loved the punctuality, we entered the room right on time and that for me is great, I really do not have the virtue of patience and it makes me very uncomfortable to wait if an hour has been given for a certain activity and it is not fulfilled, so we started very well!
The children were excited, especially the girls because they are younger and in fact they were the ones who enjoyed the most, although I can tell you that I felt like one more child!
Como les he comentado mi hija Miranda toma clases de Ballet en el Centro de Artes Omar Carreño ubicado en la capital de nuestro estado y de manera frecuente se presentan ahí todo tipo de actividades culturales, como danzas, obras de teatro, conciertos y en éste caso obras de titeres!
Por supuesto no perdemos la oportunidad de llevar a nuestros niños cada vez qye podemos, así que al enterarnos que habría una presentación de títeres nos organizamos con dos de sus mejores amigos y aprovechando que las niñas (Gabriela y Miranda) tendrian sus clases de ballet y nos quedaríamos a disfrutar la actividad.
La verdad no teníamos idea de qué trataba la obra. Sólo sabíamos que se llamaba "El Tesoro de Daután". Así que entramos con mucha expectativa para saber de qué se trataba todo.
De entrada me encantó la puntualidad, se entró a la sala justo a la hora pautada y eso para mí es magnífico, realmente no tengo la virtud de la paciencia y me incomoda mucho esperar si se ha dado una hora para cierta actividad y no se cumple, asi que comenzamos muy bien!
Los niños estaban emocionados, en especial las niñas por ser mas pequeñas y de hecho fueron las que más disfrutaron, aunque les puedo decir que yo me sentí una niña más!
"The Treasure of Dautan " is of course set in our beautiful Margatita Island, specifically in Pampatar. From the beginning you meet a couple of characters that immediately take you to another world, a magical world, where the voice, the sounds and the corporal expression are fundamental.
They made the presentation of the play and immediately "El Tesoro de Daután " began. The staging was very beautiful, colorful and, above all, very eye-catching. We were a bit far away so we could not see the details from where we were, but at the end of the play we could do it and we were really surprised.
The story is about two friends, Margarita and Chuito, who were about to play in the little square of their town that was in front of the sea, but when they arrived the place was completely dirty, which made the children very sad and they immediately took action to find a solution.
At one point in the play, Margarita is left alone and the sea takes that opportunity to talk to the little girl about what happens with all the waste that ends up in it. The damage they cause to its ecosystem and consequently to all human beings.
"El Tesoro de Daután" está ambientada por supuesto en nuestra hermosa Isla de Margatita, especificamente en Pampatar. De entrada te encuentras con un par de personajes que de inmediato te trasladan a otro mundo, un mundo mágico, donde la voz, los sonidos y la expresión corporal son fundamentales.
Hicieron la presentación de la obra y de inmediato comenzó "El Tesoro de Daután". El montaje era muy lindo, lleno de colorido y sobre todo muy llamativo. Estábamos un poco lejos así que no podíamos desde donde estábamos fijarnos en los detalles del mismo, pero al finalizar la obra pudimos hacerlo y quedamos realmente sorprendidos.
La historia trata de dos amigos, Margarita y Chuito, quienes se disponían a jugar en la placita de su pueblo que se encontraba frente al mar, pero al llegar el lugar estaba completamente sucio, lo cual entristeció mucho a los niños y de inmediato se pusieron en acción para buscar una solución.
En un punto de la obra Margarita queda sola y el mar aprovecha ésa oportunidad para hablarle a la pequeña sobre lo que ocurre con todo los desechos que van a parar a él. El daño que ocasionan a su ecosistema y en consecuencia a todos los seres humanos.

The presentation was characterized by a lot of interaction with the audience, which was something I enjoyed a lot, because we were not just spectators, but children and parents participated in the presentation, which added to the fun!
Back to the play, when Chuito, her playmate, arrives, there is a very funny exchange between the two of them, because he thinks that Margarita has gone crazy, since she claims to have talked to the sea and even with a pirate named Daután, and she even claims to have found the pirate's lost leg by herself!
After some questions to the public Chuito is completely convinced of Margarita's words and decides to accompany her and after great dangers and unimaginable adventures they finally achieve their goal and their beautiful city is again as beautiful as it used to be.
Le indica que para solucionar el problema debe buscar a un pirata de nombre Daután, que les entregaría un maravilloso tesoro. Le dió ciertas indicaciones para encontrar al pirata y ahí comienza la diversion.
La presentación se caracterizó por mucha interacción con el público, que fue algo que disfruté mucho, pues no estábamos como simples espectadores, sino que los niños y los papás participamos de la presentación, lo cual le sumó un plus de diversión!
Volviendo a la obra, al llegar Chuito, su compañero de juegos se presenta un intercambio muy divertido entre los dos, pues el piensa que Margarita ha enloquecido, ya que dice haber hablado con el mar y encima con un pirata de nombre Daután y hasta dice haber encontrado la pata perdida del pirata ella solita!
Después de algunas preguntas al público Chuito queda completamente convencido de las palabras de Margarita y decide acompañarla y luego de grandes peligros y aventuras inimaginables finalmente logran su cometido y su hermosa ciudad vuelve a estar tan bonita como acostumbraba estarlo.
But not only the city had changed! The most important change had been in its inhabitants, who understood how important it was not only to reuse everything they could, but also to classify waste so that it could be used without causing more damage to our planet.
At the end, a call was made for all of us to understand what recycling really consists of and that just as in that imaginary town they had managed to create ordinances and thus obtain the necessary containers to classify waste, we can also do the same.
It was a really beautiful message, presented in a very dynamic and fun way and the best of all is that both the scenery and all the characters of the play were made with recycled material, which we could notice when we finally saw everything up close.
Pero no sólo la ciudad había cambiado! El cambio mas importante había sido en sus habitantes quienes comprendieron lo importante que era, no sólo reutilizar todo lo que pudiesen, sino clasificar los desechos para poder ser aprovechados sin causar mas daño a nuestro planeta.
Al finalizar se hace un llamado para que todos entendamos en qué consiste realmente realmente reciclar y que así como en ése pueblito imaginario se habian logrado crear ordenanzas y así obtener los contenedores necesarios para clasificar los desechos nosotros también podemos.
Fue un mensaje realmente hermoso, presentado de manera muy dinámica y divertida y lo mejor de todo es que tanto la escenografía como todos los personajes de la obra estaban elaborados con material de provecho, lo cual pudimos notar cuando finalmente pudimos ver todo de cerca.
It is not only about words but actions as they demonstrated that day and I can assure you that the children came away with a great teaching and of course full of beautiful energy and many smiles.
It is a really beautiful job that they do through the puppets, the learning comes and stays, which makes it an excellent strategy to teach our children in a fun way what recycling really is and its importance for each one of us.
So it was an afternoon well spent, fun with family and friends and also a great learning experience!
No se trata sólo de palabras sino de acciones tal como lo demostraron ellos ése día y les puedo asegurar que los niños se viniero con una gran enseñanza y por supuesto cargados de energía bonita y muchas sonrisas.
Es un trabajo realmente hermoso éste que hacen a través de los títeres, el aprendizaje llega y permanece, lo que la convierte em una excelente estrategia para enseñar a nuestros niños de manera divertida en qué consiste realmente el reciclaje y su importancia para cada uno de nosotros.
Así que fue una tarde muy bien aprovechada, diversión en familia y con amigos y además un gran aprendizaje!
Let's hope that sooner rather than later our country can join the other countries that take the task of recycling seriously and responsibly. In the meantime, it is up to us to continue educating our children to do everything possible to take care of the beautiful creation that God gave us.

Fue una experiencia muy bonita para los niños, de verdad esa manera de enseñar a través de los juegos y diversiones los niños las aprovechan, por mi parte quede sumamente satisfecha es algo nuevo y muy educativo para todos, vale la pena seguir apoyando este tipo de actividades y reforzar en nuestros hijos ese deseo por ayudar al planeta en cuanto al reciclaje. Que belleza rosa la magia de los títeres desde la educación inicial es una maravillosa herramienta expresiva que mejora notablemente la manera como los niños hablan, aprenden a establecer diálogos, enriquecen sus vocabularios con palabras potenciadoras y poderosas para sus vidas.
Además de esta manera, Matías Miranda y sus amigos estrechan lazos para su crecimiento y desarrollo personal porque les estimula la motivación de logro, compañerismo, comunicación efectiva, la creación, iniciativa, el trabajo en equipo en y para sus propias historias de vidas.
Al crear sus personajes, diálogos, su escucha se activa y eso los enseña a interrelacionarse desde sus mundos, a escribir en sus libretos, sus guiones para ver la manera de como ven el entorno.
Que bueno mi estimada @rlathulerie de niño ame el teatrillo con títeres, de hecho los hacía hoy en día el aprendizaje de ese entonces sigue vivo y activo en mí.

Que bonito. Tengo años que no veo una obra de títeres y mis niñas ni la han visto.
Que bueno que disfrutaron de esa linda experiencia, mientras se divertían los niños también aprendiendo sobre el reciclaje y sus beneficios.

Realmente fue una linda experiencia Leidi. Los niños en su colegio anterior todos los años presentaban y había una fecha del año donde hacían algo llamado Festitin que era una feria de títeres gratuito y los llevábamos.
De digo que yo me divertí más que ellos jajaja. Fue muy bonita y con una gran enseñanza!
Ojalá por allá puedan hacer algo similar para que disfruten en familia. Todas esas presentaciones traen muy buenos mensajes.
