Una mañana en la Plaza Bolívar de La Asunción [Esp/Eng]

Me parece increíble que un mismo lugar pueda mostrarte diferentes caras según la hora del día en que la visites, y hacerte vivir sensaciones y experiencias tan distintas cada vez, y eso es precisamente lo que sucede con la Plaza Bolívar de La Asunción, un lugar hermoso que se va transformando a medida que transcurren las horas del día, y es que hasta el ritmo de la gente cambia.

I find it incredible that the same place can show you different faces depending on the time of day you visit it, and make you live such different sensations and experiences each time, and that is precisely what happens with the Plaza Bolivar of La Asuncion, a beautiful place that is transformed as the hours of the day go by, and even the rhythm of the people changes.

La he visitado en la mañana, a medio día, en la tarde y en la noche, y es así como he podido notar cada cambio, y el movimiento que hay según la hora, y por supuesto que tengo mis momentos preferidos para visitarla, y tendría que decir que son las noches y las mañanas, porque aunque ella es bella a todas horas, el calorcito de la tarde no me gusta para nada.

Además es la hora en que más movimiento hay debido a la orquesta que queda justo al frente, y a las distintas actividades que ofrece la casa de la cultura y el centro de artes, por lo que hay mucha gente yendo y viniendo, lo que hace muy difícil encontrar un banco libre y donde no te pegue el sol para sentarte un rato, es por eso que las mañanas y la noche son mis momentos preferidos para estar ahí, y justo hace unos días estuve tipo 9:00 a.m., y quise compartir com ustedes la vibra mañanera de la plaza.

I have visited it in the morning, at noon, in the afternoon and at night, and that is how I have been able to notice every change, and the movement that there is depending on the time, and of course I have my favorite times to visit it, and I would have to say that they are the nights and mornings, because although it is beautiful at all times, the heat of the afternoon I do not like at all.

It is also the time when there is more movement due to the orchestra that is right in front, and the various activities offered by the house of culture and the arts center, so there are many people coming and going, which makes it very difficult to find a free bench and where the sun does not hit you to sit for a while, that's why mornings and evenings are my favorite times to be there, and just a few days ago I was about 9:00 a.m., and I wanted to share with you the morning vibe of the square.

Las mañanas son siempre frescas y relajadas en la plaza, y aunque hay movimiento, porque justo en ella funciona una Notaría Pública y en sus alrededores el Registro Civil y el Registro Inmobiliario, es un movimiento de adultos trabajando 🤣, mientras que la tarde es más bulliciosa por la cantidad de niños que van a las diferentes actividades, y si me han leído antes, saben que prefiero el silencio y los lugares con poca gente, así que es uno de los motivos por los amo las mañanas en la plaza.

Además a esa hora, generalmente diferentes artesanos de la isla instalan sus stands y ofrecen a los visitantes artesanías de todo tipo y hasta cuadros realmente lindos, aprovechando que a esa hora, por ser más fresco, los guías turísticos hacen visitas guiadas en la plaza y los turistas aprovechan de llevarse algún suovenir.

Mornings are always cool and relaxed in the square, and although there is movement, because right in it operates a Notary Public and in its surroundings the Civil Registry and the Real Estate Registry, it is a movement of adults working 🤣, while the afternoon is more bustling because of the amount of children who go to the different activities, and if you have read me before, you know that I prefer silence and places with few people, so it is one of the reasons why I love the mornings in the square.

Also at that time, usually different artisans of the island set up their stands and offer visitors all kinds of crafts and even really nice paintings, taking advantage of the fact that at that time, because it is cooler, tour guides make guided tours in the square and tourists take the opportunity to take some souvenirs.

Esa mañana disfruté de la calma que la plaza ofrece en las primeras horas del día, de la brisa sentada en un banquito bajo sus enormes árboles, y creo que por primera vez leí la placa que se encontraba debajo de un árbol enorme, que según lo que tiene escrito fue sembrado ahí en el año 1948, es decir hace 77 años 😱

Aproveché para recorrerla con calma, visitar el Museo Nueva Cádiz y el Centro de Artes Omar Carreño, además de disfrutar de unas empanadas súper deli que venden en un ladito del teatro y que tiene años en ese mismo lugar, pero de eso les debo las fotitos ya que estaba muy distraída comiendo y con las manos ocupadas.

That morning I enjoyed the calm that the square offers in the early hours of the day, the breeze sitting on a bench under its huge trees, and I think for the first time I read the plaque that was under a huge tree, which according to what it has written was planted there in 1948, that is 77 years ago 😱

I took the opportunity to walk around it calmly, visit the Nueva Cadiz Museum and the Omar Carreño Arts Center, besides enjoying some super deli empanadas that they sell in a little side of the theater and that has years in that same place, but I owe you the pictures of that since I was very distracted eating and with my hands busy.

Estuvimos (mi esposo y yo) cerca de dos horas en la plaza solo mirando, caminando, hablando y recorriendo los alrededores, disfrutando de un tiempo de calma y de desconexión que sin dudas siempre hace falta, así que si tienes la oportunidad de visitar esta plaza en la mañana no dejes de hacerlo!, aunque pensándolo bien, quizás deberías ir en diferentes horas para que te des cuenta de las muchas caras que tiene este bello lugar.

We (my husband and I) spent about two hours in the square just looking, walking, talking and walking around, enjoying a time of calm and disconnection that is always needed, so if you have the opportunity to visit this square in the morning do not miss it, although on second thought, maybe you should go at different times to realize the many faces that this beautiful place has.
