The Secret: Dream to Dare a sample of the law of attraction

Hace unos días atrás @fmbs25 me había recomendado ver el documental "El secreto", si el que habla sobre el libro que lleva su mismo nombre "El secreto" escrito por Rhonda Byrne que habla sobre la ley de la atracción. Entre conversaciones estuvimos hablando que necesitamos pensar positivo, y pensar en las cosas que queremos para poder tenerlas. Y de allí resultó su recomendación.

A few days ago @fmbs25 had recommended me to watch the documentary "The Secret", the one that talks about the book with the same name "The Secret" written by Rhonda Byrne that talks about the law of attraction. Between conversations, we were talking about how we need to think positively and think about the things we want to have them. And that is where her recommendation came from.

La noche pasada busque el documental en Netflix e invite a mis padres a verla conmigo, pero debo confesar que esa noche estábamos esperando era una película, más que solo un documental. Fue en ese entonces cuando recordé haber visto una película que tenía en mi lista hace tiempo, pero que había perdido.

Last night I looked for the documentary on Netflix and invited my parents to watch it with me, but I must confess that that night we were expecting it to be a movie, more than just a documentary. It was then that I remembered watching a movie that I had on my list a long time ago, but had lost.

No fue difícil encontrarla, su nombre es "El secreto: atrévete a soñar" y debo decir que es totalmente fascinante. Yo aun no he leído el libro, a pesar de que mi mamá le regalaron el libro, debe estar por allí, sin embargo, es fascinante cómo se dan las cosas en esta película, y la forma en que explican y detallan el efecto de lo que atraemos con la mente.

It was not difficult to find it, its name is "The Secret: Dare to Dream" and I must say that it is totally fascinating. I haven't read the book yet, although my mom was given the book as a gift, it must be around, however, it is fascinating how things happen in this movie and the way they explain and detail the effect of what we attract with the mind.

El primer panorama que tenemos es de una viuda con dos hijos, cuya vida es muy agitada. Quienes además residen cerca de la costa, y para ese entonces en las noticias se está anunciando sobre una tormenta que podía azotar la costa, sin embargo, ella no estaba del todo centrada en lo que estaba pasando, pues sus preocupaciones se tornaban más en el aspecto económico.

The first picture we get is of a widow with two children, whose life is very hectic. They also live near the coast, and by that time the news was announced about a storm that could hit the coast, however, she was not entirely focused on what was happening, because her concerns were more on the economic aspect.

Su esposo había perdido la vida en un accidente aéreo, y desde ese entonces la vida para toda su familia cambió, algunas veces tenía el apoyo de su suegra, pero ella de cierto modo no le gusta depender de los demás para no darles problemas. Sin embargo, para ese mismo momento ella había comenzado una relación amorosa con su jefe, quien tiene un restaurante.

Her husband had lost his life in a plane crash, and since then life for her whole family changed, sometimes she had the support of her mother-in-law, but in a way, she did not like to depend on others to avoid giving them problems. However, by that time she had started a romantic relationship with her boss, who owns a restaurant.

En el otro escenario de esta historia, tenemos a un hombre que hizo un viaje hasta la costa junto con un sobre, con la finalidad de ser entregado por él mismo al destinatario, así que podemos pensar que se trata de algo muy importante que puede cambiar la vida de alguien.

In the other scenario of this story, we have a man who made a trip to the coast along with an envelope, to be delivered by himself to the addressee, so we can think that this is something very important that can change someone's life.

El destino es un factor importante aquí, y la ley de la atracción mucho más, pues por una parte ella es muy negativa por todos sus problemas, y por el otro él es muy optimista y siempre encuentra la salida o la solución de las cosas. En cuanto a lo que se refiere al destino, ambos tienen un primer encuentro cuando ella choca con él. Desde ese mismo momento podemos ver como la personalidad de ambos se hacen presente, se analizan entre sí, de cierto modo crea la curiosidad, pero a la vez existe una cierta entrega o confianza.

Destiny is an important factor here, and the law of attraction much more, because on the one hand she is very negative because of all her problems, and on the other hand he is very optimistic and always finds the way out of the solution to things. As far as destiny is concerned, they both have the first encounter when she collides with him. From that very moment we can see how the personalities of both become present, they analyze each other, in a way it creates curiosity, but at the same time, there is a certain dedication or trust.

Para una persona que está acostumbrada a que todas las cosas malas le pasen, es algo extraordinario que alguien que no conoce de cierto modo le este aportando cosas buenas a su vida, y no solo a ella, sino a su familia entera. Llega un punto en que ella desconfía de las razones de él, pero de cierto modo acepta su bondad como un milagro después de una gran tormenta.

For a person who is used to all the bad things happening to her, it is something extraordinary that someone she doesn't know in a certain way is bringing good things into her life, and not only to her but to her entire family. There comes a point when she distrusts his reasons, but in a way, she accepts his goodness as a miracle after a big storm.

El punto central es ese sobre, como espectador me intriga el contenido que pueda tener y lo que puede pasar cuando ella se entere. Se nota que es algo muy fuerte pero también que el destino tiene sus jugadas, porque el sobre desaparece en la tormenta, y juega un papel fundamental en esta historia.

The central point is that envelope, as a viewer, I am intrigued by what it might contain and what might happen when she finds out. You can tell that it is something very strong but also that fate has its moves, because the envelope disappears in the storm, and plays a fundamental role in this story.

Entonces tenemos al final a una mujer que acepta un enorme compromiso en su vida para intentar arreglarla, pero a costa de su real felicidad. Sin embargo, nunca es tarde para recapacitar las cosas, verlo desde otro punto de vista, revivir el pasado, aceptarlo, perdonar y luchar por lo que realmente queremos.

So we have at the end a woman who accepts a huge compromise in her life to try to fix it but at the cost of her real happiness. However, it is never too late to rethink things, to see it from another point of view, to relive the past, to accept it, to forgive, and to fight for what we really want.

Recordemos que el punto clave de "El secreto" es saber que es lo que realmente queremos, para pensarlo, desearlo y obtenerlo. Si pensamos en cosas negativas, eso es lo que al final tendremos, incluso cuando las cosas buenas quieran llegar a nuestras vidas y no la aceptamos es un efecto mismo de lo que nuestra forma de pensar nos lleva a obtener como consecuencia de ello.

Let's remember that the key point of "The Secret" is to know what we really want, to think about it, to desire it, and to obtain it. If we think of negative things, that is what we will have in the end, even when good things want to come into our lives and we do not accept them, it is an effect of what our way of thinking leads us to obtain as a consequence of it.

Me sentí identificado con ella, porque la mayor parte de mi vida he sido una persona negativa, en el sentido de que las cosas me saldrán siempre mal, o que me suceden solo a mi. Creo que muchos llegamos a estar en esta etapa de nuestras vidas, y le digo etapa porque es algo que puede dejar de estar presente en nosotros. De la cual aprendemos, lo superamos y mejoramos.

I felt identified with her, because most of my life I have been a negative person, in the sense that things will always go wrong for me, or that they happen only to me. I think many of us get to be at this stage in our lives, and I say stage because it is something that can stop being present in us. From which we learn, overcome and improve.
