2026 is coming soon! Christmas in Venezuela
Greetings, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am happy to be able to show you some photos of my beloved hometown and how we celebrated Christmas this year.

As always at this time of year, Venezuelan families prepare traditional December foods such as hallaca, ham bread, chicken salad, and often black cake and pasticho.

Among other things, we also celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus along with the birth of the pecebre or the little tree. Here, children receive gifts from the baby Jesus, but also from Santa Claus. However, originally, large pecebres were made to represent the birth of the baby Jesus.

Another thing we do is wear new clothes for Christmas, because it is a family celebration where we all dress up to enjoy food, jokes, and beautiful Christmas memories!
