THE DOWNFALL OF A MAN IS NOT THE END OF HIS LIFE #LOH CONTEST 114
Compliment of the season to my lovely ladies and mother's here on hive, I wish us all a prosperous year ahead, today is another edition of #ladiesofhive contest moderated by @thekittygirl and other moderators. The topic I which to write on today is
What was your greatest sorrow of 2022...?
My greatest sorrow in this year was losing a job I worked for adeptly, it was very painful which really caused a depression that nearly took my life, I have been absent from hive for a period of time due to it, it was very terrible experience for me because I gave my all to the job and I only worked for three months before loosing it.
It is not a thing of joy to me but a bitter experience at that, I love this job because it pays my bills and more comfortable, it is a stress free job but I lose it due to some tangible reasons.
On this faithful day, It was on a Monday morning when our boss called for a board meeting, we were at the meeting when she told us that she is closing up the company, everyone was at shock and we all persuaded her not to do so, she said she needed to relocate to united kingdom to settle with her family and she has already sold the company to someone else.
It was shocking and depressed, though it was a private company and you can never relent on them in Nigeria my country, private sectors can decided to fold up anytime, any day like my boss did, it was so heartbreaking and a very harsh decision to make in this festive period that you know everyone depends on the take home.
I had so many plans on the salary for this month but it was so sad that I can never fulfil any of it, my first plan was to buy Christmas gift for my mother and buy food stuff for the house in order to make her happy because her happiness is my priority.
My second plan was to visit the orphanage home during this Christmas period and buy some gift for them as well in order to put smile on their face and make them happy, snap pictures with them and spend a quality time with them as well.
My third plan was to cook food and share for the less privilege on the road side, take pictures with them a give them a little change to buy soft drink or anything but all these plans was destroyed because of an inconsiderable decision my boss made and no one can question her.
This is my greatest sorrow for the year 2022 and I pray I find a long lasting and a better job with good renumeration in this coming year.

So sorry, I feel your pains. Those private companies are nothing but soul breakers. I pray 2023 will bring your way a better government appointment that will give you rest of mind, allow you take good care of Mom and your family at large. Have a pleasant new year in advance lady.
Most times certain things happen for a reason. You never can tell, a better job could be waiting for you come 2023.
But you had some good plans there dear. Were you at least able to carry out any?

It is very sad to lose a job and even more when we have put a lot of effort and we have goals to achieve with what we have earned in it, but something better has to come, it happens a lot that we leave something we liked and then something much better comes along. Have confidence that it will.
