Hello Hivers

Hello all the gardeners that I respect, it's been a long time since I greeted you, and this time I will bring happy news, I have harvested my bananas which I shared here some time ago, besides that, an old water guava tree is also has been harvested, and I have counted how many times I have harvested this guava

Let's start with the water guava first, this is a tree that is tens of years old, as far as I can remember, this water rose existed even before I was born, and in the local language, we call this guava ** ** guava **, that's because the fruit is slightly oval and long, but because this is a very old tree, the fruit is no longer elongated, but slightly round like other water guavas in general

Due to the incessant rain a few days ago, I was forced to sell all these guavas to buyers who happened to offer quite high prices, they bought them in bulk, without weighing them, even though they would sell them by the kilo, if I didn't sell them, it would definitely rain knocked out all these guava, the fruit which was very red and fresh made him clearly visible to the buyer even though the tree was far from the main road, at a glance the buyer was also seen on the tree that was harvesting my guava

The fruit that I hold looks very fresh, doesn't it, and tastes very sweet, the buyers pick everything without any residue, some rotten fruit also seems to fall, but later they will sort again and only sell fresh fruit, that's why they buy it wholesale

Apart from guava, I have also harvested two types of my bananas, chicken bananas and mag bananas, that's how we call them, but because of the heavy rain when I was harvesting them, I couldn't take pictures at that time, only the bananas I had harvested were able to. I took the picture, for that I really apologize to all of you

What I have in my hand is a chicken banana, or barangan banana, and this banana is often used as a mouth wash after eating, while the one in the bottom picture is a mag banana, the shape is small, only the size of an adult's thumb finger, but the taste is also very delicious. delicious and sweet, both have different tastes and are equally delicious in their own way

In addition, this long rainy season has made several other banana trees start to change their leaves and look very fertile, some of which are also seen entering the harvest season.

The top picture is a type of chicken banana, which is exactly the same as the one I showed before, while the other picture is a wak banana, and I have never shared this type of banana before, this wak banana, often used as baby food, but that was in the past, now no one gives these bananas to their babies anymore, apart from the fact that they are already rare, the large number of products is also the reason, apart from that, this wak banana is also different from the others, this type of banana tree trunk, is often cooked for food menus, especially at weddings, and that is still true today, very unique isn't it, even the heart of the banana is sold in the market at a fairly expensive price, maybe you should try it too😅

This rainy season, apart from happy news, I also have sad news, all my chili plants were totally damaged, they looked so ugly, that I didn't even take pictures of them, and I had to re-sow all my chili seeds. These two days, the weather has started to improve. and I think it's the right time to start over

Well, that's all I can share this time, thank you and see you soon

Congratulation on the harvest of guava and banana! I am glad you got a buyer for guava :)
I was not aware that there are so many types of bananas.
We have here bananas and the other type - plátano, which is a bit smaller and grown on the Canarian islands. Now I see you mention other types too. I guess I like all of them :))

Bad news for the chilli plants :(

Water guava is my favourite fruit from my days in the tropics. I remember picking a lot of it from wild trees in Indonesia. I've planted one here in Gawler and it's two years old now and just kicking off with good growth. Maybe mine will be as productive as yours...

Why do you call those bananas 'chicken bananas'?

Oh yes, it won't be long before you'll taste the guava it seems

Well, about bananas, I don't know for sure the reason why we named them chicken bananas🙏, However, according to my grandmother's confession, its shape-like shape in the legs of a rooster is the reason, and honestly I don't believe that either.😁
