Hello friends Hivegarden everything

In accordance with my promise yesterday, I still have several other almost harvesting plants which in the previous post I have not finished discussing, let's go back to exploring the plants in my backyard

  • Papaya

I have several honey papaya plants whose fruit can be harvested and enjoyed, this papaya has a maximum height of two meters, and is an export seed from abroad, otherwise the origin of this papaya seed is from Thailand

The weather here seems to have entered the rainy season, lately it has been raining a lot and it makes me a little nervous about some chili plants that I recently transferred to planting media

In addition, during the rainy season like this, lice are also a plant disease that often comes, you can see some lice attached to my papaya fruit, but the lice are not dangerous and the fruit can still be eaten,i myself have picked some papaya, and made it as a snack (rujak)

But behind that, the rainy season is also good for my other plants, an example is the following kedondong

  • Kedondong (Spondias dulcis)

Picsart_22-09-29_15-00-37-185.jpg

Spondias dulcis, is the Latin name of this plant, and in Indonesia we call it kedondong

This is also a grafted plant seed, where the tree and fruit are also small, but the taste is not like kedondong in general, this kedondong tastes sweet and a little crunchy

This is the first time it bears fruit, yesterday's rain made the flowers start to grow beautifully, there are even some fruit that can be picked,

You can see the puddles of rain that still have scars on the leaves, the flowers that look fresh and healthy, it looks like they will bear fruit later, I can't wait to see how it will turn out

Initially I had 3 types of these plants, but now the other two have died because they are too old, and they are the same seeds as the previous plants, when I have the right time later, I plan to plant some of these plants again

-Vegetable star fruit

Have you seen this type of star fruit, they have a different fruit color from the vegetable starfruit that I previously shared, bright yellow is their trademark, even the leaves also have a yellow color, but the use and taste remains the same, the fruit is sour and is a spice for cooking

Picsart_22-09-29_15-02-52-495.jpg

You can see the difference between these two plants, the shape of the tree and the leaves are the same, only the color of the fruit that distinguishes them, and for the size, I think it's the influence of the age of the tree, believe it or not, the star fruit with green fruit is older than me, right now I'm 28 years old, the star fruit was there before I was born, and as a child I used to climb this tree

Besides that, right now my longan tree is also bearing fruit, I think almost 80% of my plants will be harvested this year, how nice it is to see a moment like this, whatever I want, I can pick it myself directly from the tree

Well this is longan (dimocarpus longan) thailand, the fruit is very sweet and has a thick fruit content

I have two stems of this plant, and one stem of red longan, which some time ago I have shared, as you can see, this time they did not bear fruit simultaneously, some branches look like they are still producing flowers, while some other branches are already bearing fruit. and the size of the fruit has started to contain

That means I will have a long longan harvest season😅, yes that is the advantage of planters, the benefits of gardening are of course very many, by planting trees, it will help a little the level of air pollution that occurs, besides that, the fruit produced is also much different than what we buy in the market, so let's preserve nature and our environment by planting trees

I think that's all for now, see you in the next post

All photos are taken with the Samsung S21 Ultra camera, and edited with Picsart

THANK YOU 🙏

You're lucky to be able to grow these fruits, which are imported to my country and are not exactly cheap.

An extraordinary garden in my opinion, because in it there are a variety of fresh plants, you are very good at taking care of them. As for the yellow star fruit, I just saw it, in my place there are probably very few people who cultivate it.

It's my first time to encounter this kedondong fruit..I'm so curious.. I'm happy to see the rest of your bearing fruit trees like star fruit..it's actually very rich in vit c..I mean generally fruit is good for our health that has living enzymes. Keep planting!

Greetings back, but a little advice, if you see these star fruit do not try to taste it, your eyes will be closed because they are very sour😅

Yes, I knew them. we have two varieties mild and sour. after getting a reddish color they are a little bit sweet. mostly we make pickles using those fruits. we have one tree in India but because of our sandy soil, they do not make many fruits like yours.

Yes that can happen, although we have the same climate, and now let's rest, here it's almost four o'clock in the morning and I haven't slept yet😅

Success is always for you, 🙏
