My Garden Jurnal // The latest update of my chili and rambutan plants
Hello friends #hivegarden, this is the entry for this October challenge that was held by @riverflows
How was your weekend all, did it go according to plan or otherwise, I certainly wish you all the best
In a previous post I shared about the chilies that I will plant, and this time I will share some moments where I have transferred the chili seeds to the planting media that I have cleaned.
The grass has started to grow back, even though I only cleaned it about 5 days ago, lately it has been raining a lot and it has benefited me a bit in taking care of this chili
In the photo above, the plastic bottle where I planted the seeds is still visible, I intentionally left it so as not to damage the roots, I just cut the bottom of this plastic bottle and planted it right away, I don't think it will have any effect, because later the roots will start to spread in the ground and the trees are getting big
Some chilies seem to grow not at the same time, that's because the seeds that were sown before don't all live, some are seeds that I planted late, let's see the development of the tree
Among the three trees, one still looks wilted, and the other two have started to recover, but you don't need to worry if you see your chilies like this, it's normal, when transferring seeds to the planting medium, everything looks wilted, you just need to pay attention water content for them, don't run out of water, or they will die, within a week they will begin to improve and thrive, the two photos above are trees that can be said to have recovered
Now let's see the other side of my chili garden
Above are two types of hybrid cayenne pepper whose trees are quite old, actually I wanted to clean this side of the garden, but because they were still bearing fruit, I left them alone until the fruit could be picked later, even though the fruit was smaller and shorter, the spicy taste was still very strong. tastes even spicier than before, you must often hear people say small chili peppers, that's the right phrase for my plant this time
Besides that, I also have regular cayenne pepper whose fruit I will use as seeds, let's see
That's the ordinary cayenne pepper that I will make as seeds, for the land, I have also cleared one stage of another land on the back side of the house
I think this is a suitable location for planting cayenne pepper later, because here the sun is not directly exposed, it is stuck with the branches of a large coconut tree, I have cleared a little of this land, just clean the grass and make beds I think this land is ready planted
At first glance this land looks arid and dry, but this used to be a former duck cage, and what looks dry is duck droppings which is a natural fertilizer for plants.
Let's move on to other plants, remember with the rambutan I shared yesterday, I have also installed a net so that the fruit is not easily eaten by squirrels, 80% of the fruit is ripe and will be ready for harvest in a few days
I purposely set up a net, because there are many squirrels here, and the neighbors like to pick carelessly, not that I am stingy but I am a little annoyed when an immature rambutan is picked and leaves the skin under the tree, especially without asking my permission first.
When it's time to harvest, I will also share it with my neighbors later, and my prediction is that this rambutan will be harvested next week
Talking about harvesting, today my mother also harvested star fruit to dry and make sunti acid, you can google what it is sunti acid, here we use it for seasoning and the price is quite high in the market
That is the star fruit tree that I shared in the previous post, the fruit is quite large and large, I think it can produce about 5kg of sunti acid
I also have one more surprise for all of you
My selfi entri
Well, it is a sapodilla fruit which is a plant that is quite commonly found in the tropics, the taste of this fruit is sweet and very suitable for making salads, even though the outside looks like sand, the flesh is very clean and nutritious, when it's time to harvest later I will share how the flesh of this fruit
Well, that's all for now, see you in the next post

I could see that the ground is too hard at your end. I want to ask if it has not been raining at your end. But the chilli are in good health despite all the few rainfall. Good post. thanks for sharing.
Wow, amazing! I love rambutan but it doesn't grow here. Such a nice fruit. And all your chilli looks so delicious and there are so many of them./ Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much🙏
Your chilies look great! I always have trouble with mine. Using those biodegradable pots, and putting directly in ground is a smart decision!
Thank you sir, 🙏
I love your rambutan and sapodilla fruit trees. I ate them a lot when I was in Vietnam. Wow they are like my childhood fruits. Not so much for now as I live overseas and won't be able to find them. Thank you for sharing with us and good luck with the challenge.
You should try it later, to reminisce about your childhood
