Snacks of potato skins and homemade ketchup sauce
Hello hello, I hope you are having a good start of the week.

A few days ago I was craving for some chips with tomato sauce, but for health reasons I still can't indulge myself. So looking for what to cook for a snack, I came up with a recipe based on potato skins, it may seem a little strange, but I assure you that if we cook them very well so that they are crispy and accompany them with a natural tomato sauce, they will be your favorite snack.

the skin of three potatoes
olive oil
Pepper
Sal
Coriander powder
Orégano
7 Turkish spices
For the ketchup sauce
one tomato
paprika
Oregano
Salt
Sugar
half a cup of water
Olive oil
The first thing we will do will be to peel the potatoes, in this case we will only use the peels, after peeling them we will wash them very well, the water must be crystal clear, since the potato skin has a lot of soil.

Once this is done, remove the excess water and transfer them to a baking tray with waxed paper. In a small bowl place the pepper, oregano, salt, coriander powder and the 7 Turkish spices, then add two tablespoons of olive oil, mix it and add it to the skins. Bake them at 200°C for 20 to 30 minutes, the time depends on whether you want them soft or crispy.

While they are baking, we are going to prepare the homemade tomato sauce.
Cut the tomato into four pieces and the paprika in half.
Blend it with half a cup of water, a teaspoon of salt, two teaspoons of sugar and a teaspoon of oregano. When everything is well blended, heat a little oil in a pot and add the sauce, use a strainer to remove the pieces that are not blended, so we get a smoother sauce.

We let it cook until we see that the sauce has a more reddish color and has reduced enough, we taste, rectify the flavor and turn off.

Once the time has elapsed, remove the shells from the oven, they will be ready when we see that their size has reduced. Let them cool and place them on a tray with greaseproof paper. I added a little salt on top.

Put the tomato sauce in a glass. And that's it, we are ready to enjoy our appetizer of potato skins, ideal for an afternoon at the movies.

Although it is a very simple recipe, it is tasty and healthy. I hope you liked it and I encourage you to try it, I know you will love it.

Good night @rosam10
We welcome you to the vegan community. This recipe that you have brought is a quick and delicious snack, as long as it is prepared with organic potatoes, since non-organic potatoes accumulate many toxins in their peel, and consuming them is an enormous risk for human health.
Greetings.
