Hello, how are you? Today I want to talk to you about things we can do in one day to take care of ourselves. I know that this concept of self-care may sound a bit narcissistic or selfish, but I also feel that many times we are so focused on our work and fulfilling our certain obligations that we always put ourselves in second place and I would like to tell you that there is nothing more important than ourselves because if we are not well we will not be able to love our loved ones and it will be very difficult for us to do what we want to achieve in our lives.


I want to suggest some things to take care of yourself and I tell you that before I was a person who, as soon as I opened my eyes, got out of bed and felt guilty for resting, like I always wanted to be from here to there and stay in bed for a little while. more was a sign that I was lazy, now what I'm trying to do is be kinder to myself and when I wake up if I feel tired and feel like I need more sleep I just stay in bed and sleep more.


It has been hard for me to understand this, because I always believed that I had to do more things, but absolutely nothing happens if you just go back to sleep because, once you wake up, you will be fresher, more rested and we will have more energy to be able to do whatever we want to do in the day.

Once you wake up, the first thing I do is drink a glass of water and add lemon and I do this because imagine after being asleep for 7 or 8 or even nine hours without drinking any fluids, we wake up dehydrated and it's important to hydrate again .


I don't always put lemon in it, but I like to do it sometimes because I feel that it refreshes me more besides that it contains vitamin C it helps to strengthen the immune system and also reduces inflammation, after doing this I always stretch, do yoga or go to the gym, stretching is the rule because stretching prevents us from hurting ourselves, helps us to move better during the day and also gives us energy.


Doing yoga also helps us to focus a little more, it helps us to be more relaxed and start the day on the right foot, and the days that I don't do yoga I usually walk to the gym.



As much as possible, prepare healthy foods every day.


Then I try to eat something healthy, today I had to make a smoothie and I made it super simple, simply in a glass jar that I am reusing, I put blueberries that have antioxidants, peanut butter that has protein and fiber and healthy fats, it also I put vegan protein powder that protein helps us repair muscles after exercising water and sometimes I put oatmeal but since I was going to eat early today I didn't want to eat so much but this is more than enough for me to start the day day


Also part of taking a day of self-care is eating healthy, I know that sometimes it is hard to make ourselves eat, but the truth is that it is very worth it because that way we make sure that whatever we are eating is natural, it is little processed and we know exactly what things have, today I'm going to eat some lentils with vegetables And for dessert I think we're going to eat some oranges or apples.


But the idea here is that well, not just on self-care days, let's try to eat like this because our health is at risk and well, the better we eat, the better we'll feel.



Meditating will help you many things

On a self-care day, I would also like to suggest that you try to find spaces in your daily life where you can be alone, whether it is reading a book or going for a walk in the park, because that helps you connect with yourself a lot. And if they can avoid screens or social networks, even better, they can also meditate or do relaxation exercises.


I love doing it because I feel that it helps me feel better, it's that easy, there are times when we begin to become saturated with emotions and there comes a time in the day when any little thing throws us out of balance, I love to meditate because I have always imagined that we are like a glass that fills up with water during the day and when there comes a time when we get stressed or some negative comment from someone or anything that makes "the glass" spill, or that we we spill is when we explode and react in a bad way, then meditating is like emptying that glass again and we can expose ourselves to more things during the day without going over our limit.


In itself, the idea of ​​a self-care day is to do things consciously that help us feel good and be more relaxed. We are living in a time in which we give high priority to productivity, to have more, to achieve more and to achieve more things, and we are leaving aside the most important thing that is us and our happiness, even our well-being, because we are so stressed that we are getting sick, we are not enjoying ourselves, we are sacrificing, family, friends and well, our life is completely out of balance.

Doing yoga is one of the things I do daily, that hour of flexibility exercises not only relaxes my body but my mind as well, added to the 10 minutes of meditation, and I am ready to have a day full of activities and still feel full of energy.
