Bitcoin is also down against the US dollar compared to a year ago.

We've heard a lot about how this is wrecking havoc across the world. But the real question is, are the Americans benefitting from this? The oil price is down, but on the other hand 30-year mortgage rates have hit 7% and the economy is in recession.

If Americans are not benefitting from this, will anyone yell "Stop"?
