Annual Family Picnic: Khuld Beach

Every year, our relatives arrange picnic in the month of July or August. 2 years back, I went with them for the first time and it was great however, I am more of a myself person when going out with family and do not want any boundaries or restrictions, if going out, I want freedom and our choice of time and place. But when going with other families and then there are some major issues for me, you have to follow the instructions and in the end, it feels like we are the only one following the instructions. However, my parents are the decision makers in my family so they decided to join this annual family picnic after a long discussion and after so much of yes no yes no. I know the reason, they have explored a lot in their life but now, they take such decisions for us so we could enjoy together and have fun.

Everything has been planned and scheduled was shared via WhatsApp for 6th of Aug, ready timing/take off at 4 am. I double checked with the organizers, everyone knows that our family is very punctual still they said 4 in the morning. It happened as expected, we were ready with small kiddos at 4 whereas there was no sign of other people or transportation.

They booked a 52/54 seater bus which always gets overfilled and congested so it would be hard for my parents and ladies of the family to fit in there. For this reason and for our easiness, we booked a private car as well as we did the last time. It has many benefits, you can keep your needy things with you and mainly, you can leave early once get tired.

Love for the beach and seaside is crazy, almost everyone loves to be at seaside that is why they always do picnic at beach. I am not very fond of beaches but for the sack of others, I just get mix up to enjoy wherever we go. Our ride came on time but the main bus came a bit late, still it was not that much late, we left for the beach by 5:30 in the morning. Everyone looking happy and excited. We did a lot of fun and dancing in the bus.

We reached there on time, everyone settled down. Hut/ beach house was a good one, big space and chairs all around to sit and relax, hall room and bedrooms, everything was perfect. First thing first, everyone gets busy for the breakfast. In the meantime, me and my brother with family headed to the seashore. Sea waves were too far from our beach house, and they were a bit calm and cool so thought it is the right time to encounter with the kids and can see the reaction of the kids.

My elder son was too much excited to see the seaside, it was his first time because last time when we visited beach picnic, he was too young to remember those moments. Now, he was unstoppable and was running to hit the shores. He wants to go deep in the water which I would never allow because I don’t like slipping or diving in the sea waves, it is dangerous. It is good to enjoy just by watching the sea waves and taking the fresh air. As it was not crowded in the early morning, we had a good time all alone with the sea water.

We went back to hut and had breakfast. Kids were busy playing in the sand or some running around on the beach with football.

Boys got busy in playing Cricket, I went there just to take some pictures.

There was shortage of electricity and my cell phone was not charged enough so unfortunately, my phone went off in just couple of hours, still I managed to take some pictures of sea waves from first floor.

Later, I used my Father’s phone to click some moments. I was very happy to see my parents enjoying and having fun together. These moments are so precious. My Mother had a great time with swing. She is very fond of it. This is what I learn from my parents, to enjoy the time, it all depends on yourself whether to make it worthy or just waste it by making faces or blaming others or your health. One by one, all of us had the experience of that swing.

It is amazing to just sit and keep watching the sea tides/waves, gives you a relaxing feeling and refresh your mind. Nature is amazing.

One of the most exciting activity for people of all ages at seaside is horse & camel rides. Everyone just gets busy in taking those rides. The time camel sit and stand back is very dangerous, still people do enjoy sitting on the camels. Taking a ride on horse is a brave thing, I always think what if horse start running and we couldn’t handle him or stop him. Well, its all about our thinking and mind. My wife took camel ride twice, once with sister in law and the other one with my kiddo.

We had a wonderful lunch, Biryani was delicious. I missed to take the picture of lunch time. We again headed to the seashore and enjoyed more and more.

The weather was overcast, no sun for the whole day. It was too windy and sea waves were coming hard on us. We were very vigilant and keeping eye on kids in order to avoid any harm. Precautionary measure is very important. Overall, we enjoyed our picnic day and thanks to the organizers.
