Being a good example for others

We all do have good and bad qualities and in my opinion, we are not angels. We do have those habits and attributes which we feel are good but could be other way around for someone else. This week’s third topic regarding being a role model makes me think a lot and finally, I tried to write something about myself what I think are some positive attributes which others could match or follow to have a happy life.

Role model is a person whose life or part of life is being inspired by others or in simple words for a normal person like me, if my personal life and worklife is being discussed by a group of people in a good way that means I am a source of motivation for someone or is inspired by others. Honestly speaking, my role models are my parents and I do not look anyone else for the source of motivation. I have been taught well verbally and practically both to handle every situation in my life and take appropriate decisions in order to live a happy life.

Talking about my work life, I am always being treated as a mentor since my first job. Luckily, I am a good learner plus I do invest my brain and my thoughts on something new to become the master of it. It was the best moment, when colleagues ask for my help infront of team leader as I use to brief in detail and deeply. My name is always given as an example to others by managers to follow and be successful. Now, when I am a manager myself, I treat my team mates very differently and try my best to make them comfortable. One of my team mate do follow me and says that I am his mentor, the way I handle difficult situation with calm attitude and the way of talking and my behavior inspire him a lot. I used to give them lectures and motivational speeches once in a month to gear up and have smooth working.

Talking about my personal life, I am very simple in living standards and make my family happy and satisfied with what I have, not running for more always. I see people not happy with what they have and always complaining and asking for more. Well, I wouldn’t say them wrong but I am not like that at all. Being happy with limited resources is the best thing because more is endless for me. I am being a role model living a balanced happy life in joint family and the only one in my friend’s circle. I do respect elders and treat children with affection but I have too much strictness for my own kids because it’s my responsibility to make them familiar with rights and wrongs and early age is the best to teach them correctly. I am popular in my relatives because I do respect and give importance to each person and also do neutral talks which everyone likes.

I am glad that my life and my personality is being well praised and looked after by others as an example.
