Built-in Qualities of my Parents in my blood

Being a father, I have experienced and witnessed many things since the birth of my children. I remember the first look at my son on the day he was born; he resembled me, a carbon copy. However, as he grew, he transformed, revealing different features of his personality. Now, at four years old, every action he takes reminds me of my own childhood. There are numerous similarities, both good and bad, that seem to pass on automatically to the children. It's in the blood, an inherent part of their being that cannot be changed. Sooner or later, these traits start showing up.

My three brothers and I often discuss the qualities inherited from our parents. Interestingly, the qualities of our parents are divided among the four of us, with some similarities, but none of us are exactly the same. However, my mother used to say that all of us share the quality of loving our wives and kids just like our father. I always feel that I am not even worth a speck of dust compared to my father. He owns such a wonderful personality, and I am in no way near to him. But yes, I can say that I have very few similarities with my father, and these are built-in and cannot be changed or taken away. One of them is commitment, loyalty, and sincerity towards my work and earning the right way. I prefer working hard and earning a little rather than engaging in scams and earning the wrong way. My father used to work in a government office where it was easy to earn through bribes, something many others did, but my father never got involved in such activities. He always chose the right path to earn the right way. Just like my father, I also faced situations where it was easy to deceive the company and earn double by creating fake invoices, but my instinct always stopped me from doing so. Regardless of the situation, I held myself back, avoiding such deeds. This quality of my father in me is very helpful for a peaceful life.

Talking about my mother, I have inherited her mentality and mindset. The way of thinking is passed down in my blood. The main essence of life, which is love, care, and awareness of emotion, sensation, or understanding, became apparent after my marriage when my wife used to say that I talk like my mother. Whatever I suggest or advise to her is the same advice she would get from my mother. I could say that the discipline of life I get from my mother is the best trait or characteristic. This discipline and love have helped me a lot in being a happy man. I have a sense of feeling for others; I never feel jealous of someone’s success, and I never have a feeling of deficiency or inadequacy. Watching others' luxury lives never attracts me. I am always happy with what I have and very satisfied with my life. This feeling and thinking are inherited in me from my mother. It's a precious gift, and I know no one can take it away from me.

I consider myself lucky to be the son of my precious parents and to possess the qualities I automatically inherited from them. I won’t say I am perfect; no one is, but I find myself good enough to be near perfect just because of the qualities I got from my parents. I wish and hope that my kids do get this treasure box in their blood. Earning the right way, along with the way of thinking, discipline, and feelings, should be passed on to them and to the next generation and so on. I really want my kids to have a sense of feeling like I have for others. Let’s hope for the best.
