Creative Approach : Sketch of Ninja Turtle

avatar

Hello Hivers,

Finally, Hive Learners Creative Sunday is here for which most of us were so excited and waiting to share their creativity. On the other hand, there could be people like me who were just thinking and thinking for last two days: what can we do to be the part of this initiative. Honestly, I was excited but worried at the same time, asking myself the same question again and again: what, when and how.

DIY: This part is my dad’s. Cooking: Just know how to boil eggs and about Maggi. Collages: Yesterday had my first collage and it did took a lot of time LOL. Memes: Not in the mood or you can say never worked on it. Now, the only thing left was ARTS AND SKETCH. It was a long time ago, like 20 years ago when I was in Primary that I used to be very creative and one of the best students in Arts & Crafts. 20 years is too much of time to forget anything if you are not in practice. Last night, it was all over me.

This morning, I decided to go for it and give it a try. After all, doing something is better than doing nothing at all.

Flashback: Ninja Turtles was my favorite cartoon, I am talking about 80s Ninja Turtle. The liking was so deep that I used to draw Ninja Turtle in a couple of minutes at the age of 8.

These memories clicked my mind and this morning, I took all the stuff and got busy to check if have the same ability or is lost somewhere.

TOOLS : Pencil, Eraser, Pencil colors, White papers, TCS book as a hard board

Art Steps:

As expected, it was not the same as before but the positive point is that I was able to draw without seeing any of their picture. Did some rough drawings and then started to draw on the final page, it was the only clear page left.

Got the shape of the face first with light hand and then moved on to draw the complete Ninja Turtle with same technique. Need to erase and correct multiple times as fingers were not used to it. Focused and focused completely in order to give it a better shape.

Finally, got something on the page. An outlined figure, once again not as per expectation but so so. It took me hours to reach at this stage hahhaha now it’s time wrap it up with some quick steps.Once again, did dark outline with pencil and then, used pencil colors to make it colorful.

Final Part:

After filling with colors, idea was to outline with marker but it wasn’t available so did the same with pointer.

Arts & sketches were part of my life once and I still remember my passion for this subject, always get full marks. Whenever teacher asked that who will create chart paper for classroom, my hand was always raised. My chart papers were all over the classroom. My parents also helped me in this creativity and always encouraged to take part and do best in such projects. But as time passes by, I got involved in other activities and never looked back. Thanks to Hive blockchain, many things are coming back in life.

Honestly, had a lot of fun and enjoyed the time in making this post. Will definitely look for my old versions of Ninja Turtle and share with you guys.

I hope that coming week will be good for all of us.

I think you do it as well...
We cannot see the art with the shape or even result, but we need to see how hard you try to do it whereas you are not a profecional with that.
For me, effort is more valuable than results.👍

@deimage Well said. Now, you made my mind to work on such sketches in future as well.

When I was younger, what I used to draw regularly then was Superman, Spiderman and some Supa Strikaz characters. But that was all a long time ago, I don't even have the skill anymore.😂
Thank you for sharing this with us.

@bruno-kema that's cool, you should share some of your old stuff. That will be great.
I have some of the old art work but it's hidden somewhere, need to check it out and will definitely share in my posts.
