Difficult Job to follow a budget plan

Since childhood, I have heard a lot about budgets. It is because of our country’s budget plan every fiscal year. So, I used to ask my parents about it but never understands the true meaning of budgeting. I felt like what is the purpose of giving and sharing budget plan with public when they are going to do whatever they want to and in the end, we are going to criticize every one of them. As time passes by and I grew older, now I am well aware of why budget is necessary and important in everyday life.

Budget is something through which we make our minds what are we going to earn and spend for the specific period of time. It can be monthly, weekly, yearly or even on daily basis. Budget plans can be easy to make but very difficult to comply with. It is similar to setting goals to achieve but one should be realistic in making such plans. The main point which I considered the most is people add those incentives, allowances, temporary money in their budgets which becomes very difficult and somehow impossible to follow if these were not released on time or gets rejected in the end. In such circumstances, people gets annoyed and falls under financial crisis. That is because of wrong budgeting.

I am lucky to be the youngest in my family and budget is handled by my Father even after my marriage and kids, he is taking care of whole house and the responsibilities. I have gained a lot of experience through my Father in budgeting but for sure, it is not that plug n play thing. Following on my budget plan is the most difficult job for me. Even I don’t have that much of responsibility, but few things only just swipe away my salary.

In this critical and high inflation time, one needs to go with basic necessities. I used to make budget plan for a month and honestly, last week of that budget plan, I have to shrink myself up in order to save for the transportation to/from office and few basic needs of kids. Thank God, it is going well for last couple of years but without savings. I just divide what I have in my pocket with 30 days and try to use that amount a day but sometimes, it exceeds and then extra amount from part time work plays an important role to fulfill basic necessities.

I am the master of travel budget. Once a year, we all family members used to visit Peshawar to attend Annual festival and for that, I am always given free hand to make budgeted trip. My father and brother together finalized some amount for the trip in which I have to make transportation, hoteling, food and some miscellaneous payments. I learnt from my Father that always keep extra when travelling and do not think about it unless required badly. I used to search hotels and manage travelling through train, bus or by air whichever is convenient according to the budget. I have successfully worked out for travel budget in last five years and every time, I get to learn something new. So, one should never stop learning from mistakes and always make your budgets simple so that can be followed easily.
