Famous “Qeema” of Café Noor

We are in the holy month of Ramadan and it is going so well for me. I usually have Sehri at early morning and then Iftar in the evening, nothing more. only two meals a day and strictly avoiding any other meals from outside or with friends, trying to lose some weight and get in better shape. Trying is what I can do but then there are some friends who always come to destroy your plans and the same thing happened with me couple of days ago.

On Friday night at around 11 pm, my friends were chatting in WhatsApp group to sit somewhere near their place. I was not interested and kept quiet but then they called and confirmed if I am at home and three of them planned to visit me and will sit near my place. I changed my mind and agreed with that. We all met at my place and went to nearby café for some tea. Due to weekend, it was all full.

One of them showed interest in tasting the famous QEEMA which is near my home of café Noor. Its been a long time since I went there. Everyone in Karachi knows that this is the only place where QEEMA is very special and different, even at my workplace, all of them wants to taste this QEEMA but I always make excuses. It didn’t work on this day, they all agreed for the same saying that lets just have a single plate of QEEMA as we all are already full after Iftar and will not eat that much. Finally, I have to agree with the plan and we went to Café Noor.

It is one of the oldest restaurants of Karachi which is still with the same taste and uniqueness in their meals. Usually people don’t like to eat QEEMA outside due to many reasons and it is one of those dishes which do not have many famous restaurants. In Fact I have only heard and experienced QEEMA of café Noor which was quite unique in taste from others. It is the dish which people prefer homemade.

We ordered a single plate but then after checking its taste and the look, we immediately ordered the second plate. It was when we all were full, if not then I am not sure how many plates we would be ordering. No doubt, the taste was extraordinary and it was so well cooked. The Chef there told us that it takes 3-4 hours to cook this special dish and they are doing it deliberately with the same process as it was started. We all enjoyed our meal and it was too good. All of us appreciated the taste, it was delicious. It was a good sudden plan after all and it is still highly recommended spot to have enjoyable meal with friends and family.

Apart from QEEMA, they offer a wide variety of food items and all of them looks really nice specially the Shahi DAAL. We will soon plan a proper visit once again after Ramadan.

I have changed my cell phone, Moto E4 is no more with me and the new one Oppo A7 doesn’t have that type of picture quality still I managed and tried to take some good pictures for my post. The real look of these food items were awesome but in the pictures, I failed to capture their real swag.
