New Office Inauguration Party

We moved to our new office last month and I have shared this info too many times in my last few posts. Today, I am going to share the official inauguration party we had on 18th Feb 2023. Things were beautifully set up by responsible team, I was not the part of it though. Me and my team were in company’s t shirts as usual on Saturdays. Thank God I luckily shaved that day and my face was looking fresh :P

We started the day with work and tried to wind up the special cases before 12 so can enjoy the party freely however, customer service department cannot get empty completely, there should be a person to attend the calls or for any urgent query. However, our Boss gives us some relaxation on that day.

Boss invited some cooperate clients and their teams, his family was there too, some of his friends. Guests were not that much, there were some 30 guests. But before they all arrived, Boss gathered all the staff and shared some key points and his views regarding office relocation.

He looks really happy with all the success his company achieved in past 25 years, his father started this company with very few people and now he has a good team of different departments, sincere and loyal employees. He shared the long journey of his company, starting with a very small office and now, turning whole business into a new look. This new office will give motivation and more ideas to work together and set goals to achieve and grow more.

He appreciated the hard work done by the employees in shifting to new office, welcomed them on the stage and ask them to share their point of views. Admin manager and IT staff worked day and night in setting up the new office. They skipped using external resources in many areas and utilized their skills to avoid wasting extra money of the company.

Then Boss asked each of the managers to come and share their views and visions for the growth of the company. It is always nice to hear lovely speeches from everyone but my point is on action always. One by one, head of the departments came and shared their visions. Everyone wants to grow business because when the company grows, you will grow automatically with it. So, indirectly it is about us.

My turn came, I appreciated the work done and thanked the Boss for taking such steps which would be beneficial for the company. I focused on the subordinates and asked them to share their problems and issues with the managers free heartedly whether it is about very small issues as well instead to sharing those with others or keeping/hiding them within yourself. Sometimes, such things divert and effect your performances and you won’t realize it. Talking with your managers could solve these issues, managers are there to manage and give you a solution. My team always share things with me and we sort out these problems together. It helps to build a good relationship between manager and his team.

One of the manager asked me, what about us? The answer was very simple, Boss was just standing beside me. I said you can ask him, I always share problems with him and he sort out those problems. I never hesitate in sharing things with him, he is open to everyone. I never seen such thing in any other office that CEO of the company is so open to all the employees. Its not buttering up, it’s the fact. Everyone was laughing and smiling.

After those speeches, we went on to finish our remaining work. On the other hand, guests arrived and they were given a tour of our new office by the Boss. These were some special moments as I can see the happiness behind that smiley face of my Boss.

On the rooftop, there is a cafeteria. Lunch was served there. Our Boss is a foodie, he likes to eat good food and also enjoy the desi dishes of Pakistan. Live BBQ was set up on the rooftop. He had lunch with guests and after that, we were asked to join him.

I am a foodie too lol my team never disappoints me when we have a buffet system. When I got up there, my team was ready with the plates full of kababs and tikka, paratha and qeema.

The atmosphere up there was awesome, everyone was joking around along with the Boss. Food becomes more delicious when you have a good atmosphere of people, talking and laughing, giving a pleasant feeling. Lunch was superb and it was too much. We really enjoyed the day. Cheers!!!!
