Old Memories : New Year 2009 in Cairo

avatar

Today, I was not feeling well and was not in the mood of writing for a post. I almost slept for the whole day and now at night, when everyone is sleeping, I am up and unable to sleep. I was looking at my old folders full of treasures, I mean old memories, and found these pictures of celebrating New Year 2009 in Cairo. I have been sharing my stories and old memories in here and there are plenty more to be shared. It is a good way to make such moments more special by writing about them and sharing with Hivians.

On the first day of 2009, me and my friends planned to have dinner together at Pizza King. Majority of us loved this pizza. Their deals were reasonable and pizza were awesome. At that time, I used to walk a lot. I still remember that most of the time, where ever I go with friends, we used to avoid taxis and public transport instead walk on the footpaths to our destination. We did the same on that day.

The weather was good to have a nice walk. We enjoyed the pizza and then as usual, headed to the Nile Bridge which was our main spot to relax and we used to spend little time there watching river Nile and the cruises. I was the eldest among them, still I act as the youngest.

On our way to River Nile, we were doing silly things. Trying to be funny and joking around. You may find some of our pictures funny but still we did a lot which was not captured through camera. Hanging on the trees. Singing songs loudly, could be annoying for passersby because of language difference. Well, this is the way young people enjoy within limits.

We had a great time together at Nile Bridge. My muffler was taken by one of my friend and he put it on the face as if he is a thief. We took some of his pictures but then some boys from a car were shouting at us in Arabic so I asked him to take it out as we don’t want any trouble. Being the eldest among them, I had the responsibility of everyone. We didn’t understand what the boys were saying but I got the hint that maybe it was about his get up.

After this incident, everyone went quiet but then I cheered them up and said it is all good. Just enjoy your time and said few jokes to put a smile on everyone’s face. I really had a good time with them in Cairo but now, none of them is in contact. Hope that they are having a good time in their lives. Cheers!!!

All above pictures were taken through my camera "KODAK EASYSHARE C433 ZOOM DIGITAL CAMERA" and please ignore the date on the pictures which is wrong as it was not set/updated by me.
