Wedding of My Brother-in-Law

In the end of Feb, my life was experiencing something unique which I never had before. For the first time, there was too much of responsibility on my shoulder and that was because of my brother-in-law’s wedding, in simple words, brother of my lovely wife was getting married. In our culture and society, wife’s brother is considered to be one of the most valuable personality in husband’s life. Well, it’s all about fun and nothing serious in it.

Weddings and marriages in our country are too lengthy, I mean there are several events and programs involved, different people have their own traditional ways. Here we had four main events to attend means more expenses. I am the person who didn’t spent a single penny on his own wedding but now, time changed and I have to spent all that saved money in other’s weddings lol.

Wedding means more and more shopping, not only the ones who are getting married but all close relatives, friends and family have to start shopping for the main events. I was one of them. Honestly speaking, I don’t care about my wears but I want my family to look the best and for that, I will try my best to buy them the best I can. So, I did the same but in current situation, it is not that easy and without the support of my family, I won’t be able to do all that. I still feel for the people who do not have such support, how they manage these things. High prices are hurting and stressful. People don’t have other choice but to earn more and more so can facilitate their families.

I am lucky to have such a nice family, with all the support, I was able to fill the basic needs of my family required for this wedding. We successfully attended all the four events. Starting with MAYUN (Henna) program which held at a party hall near bride’s house. We had lots of fun there, music, dance and dinner.

Second event was at Groom’s house and that was just a tradition that was followed by in laws. Nothing special LOL

Third was the wedding day which is the main and most special moment for the couples. Everything was good and all went well. My kids really enjoyed the day. I got a bit tired of handling my youngest one lol.

Fourth event was the Valima (reception). Newly wed couples were having photo shoot while we were enjoying the atmosphere with our kids. However, this was our program so, we need to give some good protocol to the guests, to the family of Bride. I was also doing the same and did my part in looking after the guests. It all went well and finally, we were out of that hectic week. Happy Wedding to my Brother-in-Law. Cheers!!!
