English ver.

Hello, dear readers. 🤍✨ Lately, it’s been really hard to find the words to create or share content again, and it’s all because of the terrible disaster that struck La Guaira on June 24. 🌧️💔 The guilt that so many of us have felt for being safe and continuing with our lives as if nothing had happened can be overwhelming. At the same time, though, it has been incredibly moving to see how, despite an already heartbreaking situation, so many people came together to prove that moving forward would be difficult... but not impossible.

At first, I wanted to help in every way I could, but I kept running into two very frustrating obstacles. The first was that I simply didn't have enough money to buy supplies, and the second was that my physical health wasn't at its best. 😔 That left me feeling powerless and useless, and I think a lot of people felt the same way. The more I thought about how I could help, the more anxious I became. My mind kept telling me things like, "You don't know first aid," "What you're doing isn't important," or "It's not going to make any difference anyway."

Yes... I was being incredibly hard on myself, and it definitely wasn't healthy. Eventually, I decided to stop watching so many videos about the tragedy because instead of motivating me, they were only making my emotional state worse. Sometimes we also need to set boundaries to think clearly. 🌿About a week later, while scrolling through WhatsApp Status one night, I came across a post saying they were collecting donations for children in La Guaira. That's when a little lightbulb went off in my head 💡"There is something I can do."

That same night, I talked to a friend who helped me spread the idea and reach more people. The plan was simple: create small coloring kits. With the little material I had left at home, I got to work. While I was printing the first pages, my sister helped me look for more coloring pages so there would be plenty of variety. At first, I didn't want to share what I was doing publicly because I was afraid people would think I was trying to take advantage of the situation for attention. And yes... some people actually made comments like that. 😅 But eventually I realized that when your intentions are genuine, some people will understand... and others won't. And that's okay.

So I decided to focus on what truly mattered: helping. Once I shared the initiative, several girls reposted it on Instagram, and soon many people started reaching out, asking how they could contribute. Since many of them lived far away and couldn't buy supplies directly, I ended up accepting monetary donations, which were an enormous help in purchasing the materials we still needed.

On top of that, two friends and one of my cousins volunteered to help with the printing, allowing us to move much faster. One wonderful girl even donated 24 coloring books along with matching boxes of crayons. 🥹🌈 Seeing so many people willing to help filled my heart. Once again, I was reminded that there are far more people who genuinely want to do good than there are people who only criticize.

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we were able to put together 101 activity kits for boys and girls. 🎨🖍️🌈💕 Each kit included a small coloring booklet with 12 pages, 3 colored pencils, 3 markers or crayons, and a mini sticker sheet. We also decorated every little bag with lots of love in hopes of bringing an extra smile to each child's face. Two weeks later, I donated the leftover materials to a girl who had helped me tremendously at the beginning of this small campaign. She was preparing activity kits for Children's Day, and it made me so happy knowing those supplies would continue bringing joy to even more children. 🤍

I'm not sharing this story to feed my ego or to receive praise for what I did. I'm sharing it because, for several days, I truly believed I had nothing to offer, when in reality all I needed was to stop focusing on what I couldn't do and start asking myself what was within my reach. 🌱

Sometimes we think helping has to mean doing something huge, when often it's simply about using the skills and resources we already have to serve others. In my case, it was paper, printers, coloring pages, and stickers. For someone else, it might be cooking meals, delivering donations, listening to someone who needs support, or simply sharing important information. 🤍✨

I think that's the greatest lesson this experience taught me: No act of kindness is ever too small when it comes from the heart. 💛

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared the initiative, contributed supplies, or simply sent words of encouragement.

This wasn't the work of one person—it was the result of a community that chose to come together when it was needed most. 🫶

I hope we never forget that, even during the hardest moments, there is always a way to make a difference. Sometimes we can't change the whole world... but we can change someone's day. And believe me that matters more than you can imagine. 🌈🤍✨
